Tristan thought for a moment and frowned. "You don'd dink dey god indo a fight or someding?" Tristan wanted to groan. That would be the last thing that they needed.

 

Lanan chuckled. "A fight? With who? And besides...who would be able to keep two Summons busy this long?" And then a thought flashed in his mind, "Unless...."

 

"A fight widh demselves." reply Tristan. "....... Whad do you men unless?"

 

Ekaf finished mimicing there powers. Her first thing she needed was to dodge their attacks. She jumped over Naserra's attack and she sacrificed her sword to take Rubria's attack. She shot the venom acid at Narserra.

 

Nas's eyes widened with surprise. she knew that attack. Quickly she dodged to the left and glanced at the ground where the venom hit. It sizzled against the stone. Just as she thought. That was Rubira's attack. Quickly she turned her attention back to her attacker. That leap into the air was foolish. Nas had already prepared four roots when the insects told Nas where the enemy stood. Two of the roots shot towards the fake summon, threatening to impale her. The other two shot into the air, above the fake. Those two were for backup.

 

"My venom?!" Ruby hissed as she stopped charging. Angered, her silk-like blue pants merged to her legs as her legs erupted into a giant snake's tail. Her face slightly altered and her skin paled. In her real form, she rushed Ekaf, her claws swinging, "You dare sssteal MY attack, you worthlesss fake?!"

Lanan's expression soured. "Maybe it's just paranoia, but I've been attacked by Demons three times in the last couple of days...I hope to Nature's Soul this isn't the case now," he said, muttering the Cylian prayer he learned as a kid.

 

Tristan was dead silent after hearing that. Without turning his head, he glanced at Lanan. "Saying dat makes me feel uneasy. Would dere be any reason dat dey would wand do addack you or your summon a fourd dime?"

 

Lanan shrugged, "The same reason they attacked me the other three times?" He looked at Eleanor and then looked for the Princess and Gemini. Seeing them in the distance, he turned back to Tristan, "The first time I was attacked might have just been bad luck. I was just sitting there when I noticed something flying. It then came down and attacked me. His name was Azazel," A shiver went down his spine, attempting to hide his fear of the red-hair demon, he continued, "Nothing I did affected him. Your lineve bolts seem to work on his shoulder, but it just healed in a matter of seconds and before he killed me...Ruby awoke from here," he grabbed the jewel around his neck. "Then in Arnum, I was attacked again by a female Demon and her Summon." Before Tristan could ask about the Summon, he kept going, "She said it wasn't a real Summon, but a copy made from Ruby's jewel. I escaped, leaving the town pretty damaged..." He remember the human girl who was friendly. Her name was Ash, He remembered. She probably is dead....Frowning slightly, he continued, "And then Ekaf, the fake Summon, attacked us and Gemini. As I said before, she wanted us to join the King of Ilianam." Lanan thought for a second and chuckled, "I guess now they have personal vendetta against me..."

 

Tristan said nothing as he glanced over at Lanan. He wore a grim expression. Twice in a row he had the same culprit attack him. That means. Somehow they manged to find him a second time. One can only wonder.... Tristan stood, on his feet, warily. Turning his gaze to the sewer's exit, his grim expression deepened. One can only wonder..... He though once again.

 

Lanan easily read Tristan's expression. Damn it...I hope Ruby's okay...She could handle Ekaf easily by herself so if she was attacked, Naserrea and she should be able to handle it...but could they handle a Demon? He thought about how they couldn't defeat Alira and how Ruby drove Azazel off. But Ruby surprised Azazel...if it was a real battle....he wasn't sure if Ruby would have been able to win. He walked towards the exit and laid a foot on the bottom rung of the ladder. "I'll go see if something happened," he grabbed a rung and then thought of something, "Oh! If nothing's up, give me the money so we can your clothes!" He looked towards Gemini and called her over as well. "It'll save time."

 

Gemini gave Sameire another smile. "Just try to hold out, we'll be back soon so you can get some fresh air." she promised before joining Lanan.

 

Tristan looked Lanan in the eyes and nodded. "I think Eleanor has the gold at the moment."

 

Eleanor looked to Lanan and then Tristan. "You want me to give this guy all our money?" she asked with a smirk. "I don't know about that..."

 

Tristan shrugged. "I trust him with it. but if you don't, then just give him enough for him to get what's necessary."

BIC: Eleanor rolled her eyes, still not happy with Tristan. "I was just joking," she muttered, and pulled the small bag of gold out of their pack.

"Think fast," she said, and tossed it at Lanan.

"Hi there!"

Aduial blinked her eyes. There'd been a bright flash of light and then spots had clouded her vision. When she could see again, there was a cute little boy standing on his tip toes in front of her. He had the most cheerful smile she'd ever seen, and looked as though he had no care in the world.

"My name's Benjamin, but you can call me Ben," the boy waved a hand in front of Aduial's face. "Helloooo?"

"Where did you come from?" Aduial asked, dumbfounded.

Ben pointed to the earings on vanity. "Those. Weren't you the one who called me here? You know, you're really pretty! What's your name?"

"Aduial Brun," The Cylian answered. "I suppose I did call you here... but all I did was touch the earings."

 

With his fairrel reflex, Lanan snapped his head, catching the pouch by the neck with his teeth. Showing Eleanor a triumphant grin, he replied, slightly muffled, "Be back soon," and gestured for Gemini to follow as he quickly rose the ladder. Lifting the manhole an inch, he peeked around. Not seeing anyone near him, he moved it out of the way and jumped out, dropping the pouch into his hand. He then put the small pouch of gold in his own pouch. He turned around and helped Gemini out and closed the sewer lid again.
"Now...", he started, looking around for Ruby and Nas, "Where would that market be?"

 

Eleanor bit the inside of her lip and sighed. "They'll be back," she muttered aloud. "I'm sick of being one of the few left down here in this hellhole."

 

"Bedder here dan in dat bog." Said Tristan causally. Glancing at Sammiere, Tristan sighed. "I suppose id's dime I bring you up do speed."
