The world of Laifel

"With all my luggage in this sack, I probably can't run as fast as you." Said Tristan.
A slight pain shot across Tristan's cheek. A Leecher arrow had just nearly flown into his skull.

OOC: Their arrows are barbed. If you are struck with one it's difficult to get it out for the wood snaps off easily.

BIC: Without a second thought Tristan shaped a wall in the direction the arrow came. It was just in time too; several other arrows had been flying their way.
Tristan could make out about 10 leachers. though there were bound to be more, and being so dark out, he was barely able to see them at all. he heard something big coming towards him from his left. He threw up a second wall to block the tentacle. The tentacle hit with a great force that nearly shatter Tristan's wall of Lineve.
"I think I may be having some regrets about coming here." Tristan said jokingly.

 

"Hold still!" Eleanor insisted. She had her eyes on the vines and ropes of weed growing in the bog next to Tristan. Knowing that the roots grew deep, she focused, unblinkingly, and lifted them up, tangling and knotting them as fast as she could around the nearest rising tentacles.

"I can take care of them!" Eleanor shouted, not moving her gaze. "You finish off those damn Leechers and let me know when we can both run for it!"

 

"I don't plan on staying behind this time." Tristan replied as he started running towards the leechers while advancing the wall at the same time. He was heading for a pool of water. As soon as his foot reached the surface of the pool, he shaped a Lineve platform that was the size of his foot. Using these platforms, he made his way across the water without actually disturbing the pool. He made the platforms small so he wouldn't waste too much energy on them. This had taken years for him to master.

 

The humans, probably scared by the vampire, didn't want to take too long in explaining the reason of their visit.
"This wolf came out of nowhere, carrying... some written things. There's a letter and some papers", he said while handing Aidou the few scrolls.

OOC : The letter was adressed to Tristan, and I wrote it a few Posts ago. As for the plans, they aren't too detailed, but explain mostly :
- That the Lizards are numbered by the thousands, if not more.
- That there "a few days" remaining before their main attack.
- That the "main attack" probably is Cheslidair.
- That they plan to attack their target from all sides.
- That they're moving through the forests, trying to remain somewhat hidden.

- Also, the copy sent to the King (by giving it to the mayor), also explains what Trenyan plans to do. You'll witness his "hero or imbecile" plan in the next post. The copy Aidou and Aduial get does not feature that part.

 

Eleanor nodded. "Fair enough, I'll cover you!" she shouted, back, lifting more vines and strips of hardened, bogwater weed to hold back the tentacles. She could feel her energy starting to drain, but she knew her daggers would be of no use here if she didn't have a solid footing. Her eyes began to water, but she held her focus nonetheless.

 

"This came a little late," Aidou muttered. "It must have been a warning about the army we just faced." He looked to the humans and saw them quivering. Just to mess with them, he flashed his fangs - it must have looked frightening being matched with his red eyes.

"But it also mentions another attack," Aduial spoke. "We must get these people to safety, and that doesn't include Cheslidair anymore."

 

Tristan had already pasted the pool. He was ready to strike, but the leechers did something unexpected. They jumped over the wall!
Tristan released the wall's flow, causing the wall to vanish. One of the Leechers was right above him. He quickly Shaped his blade of Lineve and sliced it in half. Both halves of the Leecher went limp.

"Fresh meat." said one of the leechers.

"This was going to take awhile," Tristan yelled, "Eleanor, get away from those monsters before you use up your strength."

 

Eleanor turned and ran, letting go of her concentration. She moved as fast as she could through the waist-deep bog, letting her strength rebuild.

She suddenly felt something wrap around her leg and pull her down into the water. She cried out, the suction cups on the tentacle around her legs tearing into her skin, sharp barbs on her ankle. Eleanor yanked her already bloodied dagger out of its sheath, stabbing blindly into the murky water.

 

Tristan's eyes widen, "Eleanor!"
A sharp pain hit him in his back. It was an arrow.
"Damn you all!" he yelled at the Leechers while punching a huge blast of Lineve towards them. Leechers were knocked back from the blast. Tristan then grabbed the The arrow's shaft. It snapped off as he tried to pull it out. "Damn it!" It was stuck in the lower left side of his torso. He didn't have any more time to worry about it. Tristan approximated where he suspected Eleanor fell in, and dived into the bog's murky water.

 

Eleanor grabbed a quick breath of air as she was pulled under the water. She opened her eyes despite the pain, barely able to see at all. She stabbed as hard as she could, fighting at the tentacle that ripped at her flesh. Focus... she thought, holding her breath. Focus and you can blast this water off of you...

 

Tristan let himself sink to the bottom. he could feel where the greatest disturbance, in the water, came from. Tristan Ripped some Lineve from it's flow and shaped a harpoon. He then tossed it in the direction of the disturbance. The harpoon hit whatever was causing the disturbance and blew it to pieces. Suddenly, Tristan realized he didn't think the whole thing through.
The force, from the release of energy, knocked Tristan away from where he entered the water. The air had been knocked from his lungs and he no longer knew which way was up. Tristan sank some more into the water. he desperately reached out his hand in order to figure out where the ground was. he finally managed to find it, but he found something else too. it felt like jewelery of some sort. Tristan grabbed whatever he had found and kicked off of the ground.
His lungs burned. He wanted to take in a breath so bad. he was probably halfway to the surface when a tentacle caught his leg and pulled him back down.

OOC: Tristan threw off his bag before diving. forgot to mention that. Also don't forget that the leechers are still alive.

 

Eleanor focused on all the water she could see and blasted it away from her, up into the air. She held it there as she stood up, finally able to see the tentacle around her leg. Slicing both her daggers through it, she broke free, moved over a few feet, and dropped the water back into the swamp. The salt stung badly on her wound, but she ignored it.

"Tristan!" she shouted, looking around. All she could see was a large group of Leechers heading right toward her. "Dammit," she muttered.

 

"What!" Azazel covered his eyes as the ruby let off a strong light.
Not my masster..
When Azazel uncovered his eyes, the light was gone and the jewel was on the ground without a scratch.
"What was that light? And how did this ruby not even crack when I stabbed it?" Azazel picked up the jewel and flew in the air. And finally...what was that voice? he pondered as he flew south towards the Desert in the distance.

 

Sameire crept out of the shadows when she thought that it was safe. She had a lot of sorting out to do, and she couldn't be caught doing it.

 

Tristan needed air! he couldn't think. He couldn't take it anymore. he open his mouth and water rush in. I'm going to die. he realized. That's when he also realized that the thing he grabbed was glowing A voice entered his head.
You are the one I've waited for. I swear to serve you forever more. Tristan lost consciousness shortly after.

Naserrea awoke in the murky waters. The land cried out here. It was in pain. But that didn't concern her at the moment. Her master was in danger. She floated towards the monster that held him and shot her hand into it's body and pulled it's heart out. The monster stopped moving. Naserrea then grabbed her new master and brought him to a nearby shore.
Once on land, she focused on the water that he swallowed and directed it out of his mouth. After he finish coughing up the water, she directed flow air into his lungs, causing them to expand. She then directed the air out. she continued this until he began to breath again on his own.
Naserrea smiled. Now there was the matter of clothes. She wasn't wearing any, and from past experiences, she knew here master would feel uncomfortable about that. She called out to the silk worms from faraway. They gave her the silk she needed. she then let the wind blow the silk to her. It wouldn't be long now. soon she would be wearing a gown of silk.

 

As Ras'tepa turned into another hall, he saw the leader of his army walking his way. Now's a better time than ever... he thought as he got in the king's state of mind.
"General!"
"Y-yes, your majesty?"
"I have an order that will no doubt seem strange to you, do not question it and execute it immediately!"
The human looked puzzled, "What is it, sir?"
"I want you to assemble six decent-sized group of soldiers. Order them to scour every inch of this continent and acquire every diamond, gem, ruby, sapphire, EVERY jewel that is out there!" Ras'tepa was shaking with an ecstacic feeling as he gave the order.
"Jewels, sir? But the royal treasury has --" the general stopped himself as he remembered the incident in library. "Yes, Your Majesty," he said as he bowed. He then realized something. "Every inch? Even the desert and the bogs? But sir, that's dangerous!"

 

He wants all the jewles in the whole kingdom...? Sameire decided that she'd heard enough. She turned to go back to Tristan's room, and knocked over a vase of flowers.

 

OOC: Sammy you klutz

 

The King heard something break and rushed around the corner to see his daughter. Before she could move, he shaped a Spear and stabbed her in the heart, "clumsy b!tch"


OOC: Nah, I'm just kidding :D

BIC: }real post{ The general turned his head to see what the noise was. He was surprised to see the King already turning the corner.
Ras'tepa's anger was rising fast. His body was still shaking, but now with anger instead of anxiety. "Sameire! Spying on me again!?" he yelled. It took all his restraint not to raise his hand to attack her.

 

"Um," Sameire tried not to let her voice tremble as she came up with a lie. "It was dark in my room. I got scared, so I went to Tristan's room. I... I came here t-to get... um...." She bit her lip; she was officially out of lies.
