Eleanor listened quietly to Tristan's and Nas' conversation. "My mother used to mention things like that about these area of the world," she commented. "Though she wasn't nearly as focused on nature as you are, Nas." She gave the Summon a small smile, trying to seem friendly; the last thing she wanted was some like her on her bad side.

 

"Your mom could speak with nature too?" Nas asked curiously "Was she also a summon? I never knew summons could breed with humans."

Screech grinned. "I'm going to annihilate them."

"Go ahead! I'm not holding you back" Hachit replied.

"Smart move." said Screech. he then looked at his men.
"ATTACK!" he yelled, and on his command, Leechers and Lizards alike, attacked the humans.

 

Gemini opened her eyes blearily and looked down from her perch in a tree. She streched her back out until it poped, easily keeping her balance before jumping down to the grass. Her gaze lazily roamed the area, looking for a path or people near by to start her journey on. She'd been traveling over empty land for a few months now and was anxious to meet anyone. "Hello?" she called out, walking in a random direction.

OOC: Ok DeathKing, you're starting to irritate me. You're breaking rule number 10: "be courteous to others." That's warning number 2. The next warning will result in the death of your character and you will not be allowed to post in this thread again.

BIC :

Kurt was impressed by Lythorne's intuition. He had guessed that he hid a few details.
"I guess there's no harm in having Lythorne knowing something. If he wanted to betray me, he could've done it while we set the forest on fir-... oh, by the way, Kurt, it was us who set Faeyland Woods on fire."

Kurt didn't hide his shock.
"You did what?! Why would you do that?!"
"I was on my way to Ilianam, when I saw Lizards. And then..."
Trenyan quickly explained what happened, how he realized Lizards were hiding in the forest, estimated their numbers, sent his findings to a charismatic Shaper and the mayor of the city of Quel... met Lythorne and set the forest ablaze.
"In your situation, I'm not sure what I would've done... but now, the fire is raging, so we'll criticize your idea later, okay? Right now, you know what's our priority?"
Lythorne once again figured out that the two men were very close friends. How could Kurt simply skim over the fact that Trenyan set the forest on fire?

"So, you know what our village plans? The leaders decided to interfere in Ilianam's affairs, you get it? They want to secretly contact the princess, and see if she needs help..."
"What?! That doesn't sound like such a good idea to our village's secrecy-..."

But Trenyan couldn't finish the sentence. Someone was approaching. It was a human, and he was shouting with all his strength :
"They're here! Lizards! And there's Leechers with them!"

A woman arrived just next to him, and she yelled :
"All those who have any honor, take your weapons and come fight! We'll let them know that we won't be stepped on!"



Trenyan wasn't as enthusiastic as the man and the woman. Judging by their faces, neither were his friends. He wasn't feeling tired anymore, but that's no reason to go face Lizards... and Leechers!
"If they attacked now, it's because of us... we have no choice but to go and fight. Maybe it's just a small party that got separated from the main army."
"We set the forest on fire. That caused a lot of harm to many. If we want this to be worth it, we have to repel those invaders!"

Kurt followed, too. Looks like things weren't going go to as planned...



OOC : Hey Pezz, how many Lizards and Leechers are attacking? Hachit took "as many as he wanted", but that's about how many?

 

OOC: He figured 700 would be enough. 100 are Leechers. better get help.

BIC: Hachit ran into battle slashing at the nearby humans. This was going to be too easy.

Screech made a leap into battle. He was wearing the most common of Leecher Weapons, blades attached to his knees and arms. In addition to that, on both pointer fingers, he had a long thin blade that looked like overgrown fingernails. He slashed, Bit, and impaled the humans that came at him.

 

G.L. began meandering around the city, looking for something to do when he noticed a shack, with the words “Weapon Smith” written on a sign in the window. He walked into what, for him, seemed like heaven, all different types of weapons: swords, axes, pikes… It just went on and on. He looked around for the owner, but there seemed to be no one there. He waited around a couple hours for someone to come back to their workshop, no one showed up. He started to become drowsy and dozed off; he slowly came to his senses and saw an old cylian sitting at one of the benches working industriously. Without turning around he mumbled, somewhat flatly, “the names Mort, have a good nap?”.

"She's a crossbreed, Nas. She's half human, half Cylian." Said Tristan with a smile. he found that last statement quite amusing. The sun had begun to climb the horizon.

"A Cylian?" Nas said with a tilt of her head. She gave Eleanor a curious look. "My first master was a Cylian, but he died in battle."

 

OOC : I'll make my characters fight for a while, because they don't know how many enemies they are, yet.



Trenyan felt in good shape. Probably his body acting, already used to the rigors of combat, and making him forget his small lack of energy for a while.
Do I see a trend here?, he thought. I go to random villages, meet someone, fight Lizards by a huge fire, go to some other random place, and fight more Lizards.

He hoped that the enemy was indeed only a fragment of the army. Probably less than a hundred Lizards with a few Leechers. Or thousands of both. Trenyan planned to escape the battle should the enemy be overwhelming. It was the first time in decades, since the war that had his first home destroyed, that he fought an army really meant for war.

With his scythe firmly in hand, and his two mini-scythes attached to his back, Kurt ran towards the North, with Trenyan and Lythorne next to him. Around them were countless humans. Most of the humans were well armed ; some even had armor. It looks like Baflee's border villages prepared themselves because of the Lizard raids.

The battle was in sight. The humans already fighting saw the reinforcements coming, and actually made place for them. Next thing he knew, Kurt had run past the human front line, and was hacking wildly at the army of Lizards. The reptiles wouldn't just let themselves die without a fight, however, so an intense war was taking place.

Trenyan had lost sight of Lythorne and Kurt. This intrigued him, as he had perfect eye contact the previous second. But now, he was concentrating on what lay in front of him : the enemy ranks.
The Lizards were surprised, because the humans fighting them had suddenly stepped back, letting the reinforcements come in. Thinking it had their prey on the run, the reptilian enemy charged.
Trenyan's first move was to turn his Wing Sword into a giant ice blade. He swung it as he reached the Lizards, pushing several of the reptiles aside. He then proceeded to slash horizontally until his sword breaks.

Lythorne used his magic to create electrical currents on both his swords. He wanted to annihilate the first Lizards in his way, and cut his way through their ranks. This didn't work out too well. His initial strikes were very effective, and he killed several enemies quickly. But he could not get deep into their ranks. The enemy wasn't disorganized. Someone was leading them.
The Lizards around him, noticing that he couldn't go further, tried to surround him. However, Lythorne managed to block their combined attack. Lizards had no weapon other than their natural body ; when facing Lythorne's dual swords, still electrically charged, the Lizards' attack turned against themselves themselves. Unfortunately, this happened quickly, and he was forced to use a lot of magic to create the electricity, so he had to withdraw that power for now.

 

OOC: You can do so much in one post, Which is why I'm going to have limit your actions with something else. You've fought against characters that you've only controlled so far, lets see how you do now.

BIC: Hachit slashed here and there as he made his way through the humans. One human suddenly caught his interest. He was fighting with dual swords. When the human wasn't looking, Hachit charged at him and slammed him into a nearby tree.
"You sssssssseem quite ssssssssskilled human." hiss Hachit while digging his claws into him.

Screech had blood dripping from his mouth. He enjoyed the taste of human flesh. Suddenly, Screech caught a scent other than human in the air. "Wolf meat." He said with a grin. "Leechers! We have a wolf in this group! Find him and take him out!"

 

OOC: Pezz is the greatest. XD Which is why I'm sure he'll know the answer to this question: Where is your little battle going on? ^^' Is it near any of my characters?

 

OOC: Near the forest that Star put up in flames. I'm going to make a new town near there. The town will be attacked not long from now.

 

OOC: Okay, so I don't have to involve myself in it. ^.^;

BIC: Once Aidou had returned to the inn, his eyes were back to their ice blue shade of color. He dismissed the human from the room, relieved to see that Aduial was unhurt. By looking at her expression, the Vampire could tell that his companion was just sleeping now. He reminded himself to give her a piece of his mind when she awoke.

 

Lythorne was surprised by the ferocity of the surpirse attack. It took his a few seconds to realize he was pinned into a nearby tree, one that was away from those burning fiercely.
His first instinct was to try to slash the Lizard, but his hands weren't in the perfect position. His magic, however, was still useful.
"Burn!", he said, suddenly using his magic to cast a flame on the Lizard pinning him.

Still fighting, Trenyan came face to face with a Leecher. The creature seemed to take a sudden interest in him when it detected the Crossbreed's smell.
Trenyan ducked to avoid the Leecher's swing, as humans near him gathered, apparently trying to focus on the Leecher. But what caught Trenyan's attention, is that two other Leechers came towards him. He hadn't seen any since the battle started, and now, suddenly, he found three?
Furthermore, the Leecher in front of him seemed to be interested only in him. Trenyan decided to keep his position, dodging or blocking the Leecher's attacks, and attacking second, as the humans around him were yelling warnings about Leecher presence.

 

Seclem sat on his throne. He was in deep thought. He had his General, Kellington, with him, and his faithful servant Biffem as well. Kellington had just finished the letter.
"Well?" said Seclem.

Kellington began to pace. "I think we have a real mess on our hands."

"We need to fight back, but how do you propose we do it?"

Kellington paced some more. Biffem stared straight at his feet, pretending not to hear anything. After a few minutes, Kellington stopped pacing and turned towards the king.

"This is what I propose we do." Said Kellington in a voice full of certainty.

Seclem Listened intently........... So did Biffem......

Hachit felt a burning sensation. He was on fire Damn Mage! I'll make sure you burn with me! thought Hachit as he grabbed hold of the human and refused to let go, despite the pain.

 

I wonder what the King is going to do to his daughter... The general thought as he walked a few steps ahead of the King, leading him to Tristan's old room. As they approached it, the general addressed the three guards standing watch, one on the left of the door, two on the right.
"Anything happen?"
"No, sir," The guard on the left said as he bowed to the King, "Sire."

"Let me in," The King said, without even looking at any of the soldiers.
The soldier on the right, closest to the door, nodded and opened Tristan's door.

The general walked in, with the King a few steps behind him, and looked around.
"What the--"
The bed was empty and the wind was coming in from the open window.
The two guards were outcold in their chairs! No, not outcold, the general realized.
"They're sleeping?"

Bryne rushed in and ran to the window. In the distance, he could see where the sun was about to rise, but no princess was in sight.
"General!" The King growled as he walked towards the general.

The other two soldiers woke up just in time to see the King Shape a spear and thrust it into their General's stomach.

"K-King?" The general fell to his knees as the spear was pulled out.

"You worthless humans!" The King yelled as he stabbed the "moron" solder in the chest before he had a chance to get up.
The storytelling soldier couldn't believe his eyes.

As the general fell to the floor, the papers in his hand became drenched in his blood. "Not the King..." were the last words he muttered.

"You!"
"Y-yes?" the soldier squeaked.

"You're taking over his job! You're the general now! On those papers were his plans, finish them and send a group across the continent to find Tristan! I want him alive! And I want that damn princess found as well!" Now do it!" The King yelled as he stormed out leaving three soldiers staring in the doorway.

 

Lythorne felt his own fire. That Lizard was determined to make him suffer.
For a few seconds, Lythorne endured the pain, thinking of what his magic was capable of. Attempting to create a wind gust would be the best idea, but he wasn't really good at controlling wind... and then he had an idea.
Digging even deeper in his lowering magical powers, he created more fire, but not on the Lizard. He instead created localized micro-fires on the large branches of the tree he was pinned on. Quickly, the magical fire had literally cut the branches, and they came falling off on both Lythorne and the Lizard.


OOC : Kinda boggling here. Is this power considered as "making sense"? Using fire to incinerate the base of a tree branch?

 

The huge branch knocked Hachit out cold. He fell to the ground and began to burn to death. Hachit, Was dead.

OOC: I know, lame. but I don't know what else I could have done.
