The world of Laifel

As the sun rose, Sameire decided it was time to get some distance between her and the castle. She'd tried to sleep, but had woken up many times.

OOC: Poor little guy... he got a name and then died... =(

OOC : You know, I implied the branches fell randomly ; imagine the totality of the branches being shaved off at once. They would both have been hit, although Hachit is slightly more at danger, because he is the one pinning.

BIC :
Trenyan was trying to kill the Leecher, but he was having a lot of trouble. Is it really true that Leechers can't feel pain? He thought. If that's so, the only thing preventing the creature from going wild, was the wall of spears, swords, and other weapons brandished by humans. They were doing a far better job at opening wounds on the Leecher's skin, or at least get close of doing so.
But with two other Leechers coming towards them, Trenyan knew that they were in trouble. He couldn't just expect more humans to show up, much less show up and not become Leecher snacks. He had to act!

Kurt (whom he had no idea where he was) had once told him that as an Ice Molder, he had the advantage of being able to create solid objects, just like a Metal Molder or a Shaper. Kurt's words were as follow : "You can always create an object that will save you. The difficult part is figuring out what will serve you most, and creating it before you exhaust your Molder powers".

But what could serve him most now?

 

Screech sniffed the air. Hachit was Roasting. the dumb lizard got himself killed. he then looked into the distance, more Humans were coming. These humans were putting on a better fight than expected. He didn't wan't to give, but He knew that this fight would be lost.
"Pull back!" he cried. only the Lizards obeyed. The Leechers were enjoying themselves too much. What a waste. Screech thought to himself as he left.

The King marched back into his room and slammed the door.
"Stupid HUMANS!" He yelled as he shoved all the jewels on his desk to the floor.
Panting with anger, he laid his hands onto his desk and looked into the mirror.
Ras'tepa could see the King's face. His brown hair that went a few inches below his shoulders and looked greasy. His gray eyes were bloodshot and the pupils dilated. His face was paler than before. His body was even skinner. Ras'tepa didn't think the King's body could take too much more of the Parasite.
My daughter escaped? See, Demon! You won't get away with this. Sameire knows you're an imposter! She'll get he--
For the last time, be QUIET! Ras'tepa yelled mentally as he physically shook with anger. I know what you're thinking, you think your precious daughter will find your innocent son and they will come save you? How do you think they'll manage to do that? By killing me? They'll have to kill you first!
The King stayed quiet for a few minutes before thinking calmly to Ras'tepa, I would gladly give my life to rid this world of Demons and stopping your kind from coming here. If I have to die under the influence of a Demon, I'd rather it be by the hands of my own blood.
Ras'tepa couldn't believe his anger. Physically, he was squeezing the edges of the desk with such force that the desk was starting to crack. Mentally, he was yelling at the King and thinking to himself at the same time.

Lanan was dreaming again, at least it felt like a dream. He was sitting by a pond with his parents, just like his other dreams. Except this time, Becka was sitting on his left and his parents on his right. His parents were both smiling at him and Becka was, too. Lanan looked into the pond and saw his reflection, he was still a young pup and he was smiling. All of a sudden, a ruby fell into the pond causing the blue water to ripple. When the water was calm again, it was dark and Lanan's reflection was older, his current age. The water than started to rage, sending waves everywhere. "Lanan!" Lanan turned at the sound of his mother's voice. His parents were being pulled away into the darkness by a pack of actual wolves, not Wolf Clanners. "No!" Lanan yelled as got up and tried to attack the wolves, but someone held him back: The elder from his dad's tribe. Lanan pushed and pushed, but could not budge the elder.
"Lanan help me!" Becka's voice echoed in the air. Lanan turned around to see Becka covered in snakes. Her screams were soon drowned out and not a single inch of her body was visible between the tangling serpents.
"How do you like that, Wolf?" The elder spoke, but it not in his voice.
Lanan looked up and saw glowing yellow eyes as the elder slowly turned into a red-haired human.
"It's time to dieeeee," Azazel said as he turned into a monster. "Here I come!" He yelled as he swung his sword at Lanan.
Lanan woke up sweating, but didn't open his eyes.
"Are you okay, Master Luna?" Ruby's voice asked.
Lanan could hear Becka's deep breaths and knew she was asleep.
"Yeah..." he answered Ruby.
"You were breathing pretty hard and I had a feeling you were uneasy and then your breathing ceased, as you woke." Rubira's said.
Lanan didn't open his eyes as he answered, "Just a bad dream." He thought that Rubira's voice sounded soothing when she wasn't hissing or lisping. Does she sleep? Lanan didn't ask, he just laid there with eyes closed refusing to go back to sleep.
"I'll protect you, Master Luna." Ruby told him. Musst've been a pretty bad nightmare for him to sssweeat like that. Iss he ssso weak that dreamsss shake him thisss bad?
"Thanks," Lanan said, still refusing to sleep.

 

Sameire stood up and began to make her way further away from the castle. She was hoping to get out of Tyaom altogether.

 

Tristan awoke from a deep sleep. They made it to the other side. I was early morning.

"Good morning Master Tristan." Said Nas.

Tristan looked at Eleanor and smiled. She was asleep too. Tristan sat up. "How long have I been asleep?" Despite the sleep, Tristan still felt tired.

"About one-eighth of a day's time. When we came ashore I let the creatures look after us and took a quick nap myself."

Tristan shook, his head. He doubted that he would ever get use to the way Nas spoke. "So about three hours then." Tristan looked up at Nas. "So summons need sleep as well?"

Nas was still wondering what a hour was when Tristan asked his question. Nas shook her head. "Summons have no need for sleep. But when I sleep, I reach out to the land and care for it."

"I see...." Tristan said quietly. "Any idea where we are?"

"Why, we are on the other side of the lake, Master." Nas said happily.

BIC: Eleanor shook her head and woke up, not even remembering falling asleep. "Good," she sighed, looking around and realizing where they were. "Now we're just southwest of Tyaom, right?"

 

Kurt was fighting fiercely. When he heard a thundering voice ordering the enemy to retreat, his first reaction was confusion. He was growing more and more convinced that he'll have to retreat from this battle.
What's wrong with those humans? he thought. Where did the typical image of the weak-minded easy-to-kill human warrior go? Look at those! Aren't they beasts?! How much rage did the Lizard raids give them?

The Lizards were retreating. But as they were trying to organize themselves through the chaos of their retreat, Kurt put his scythe on his back, and took out his two sickle-like small scythes. He wanted to hack down as many reptiles as he could.
But in a battle of such ferocity, even the enemy retreating doesn't mean that a warrior's life is safe. Kurt realized this when he literally bumped into a Leecher. The creature wasn't retreating.

Lythorne had received many branches on his head. A very heavy one knocked the Lizard out, but it didn't hurt Lythorne as much ; the reptile's head was higher ; because he was trying to keep Lythorne pinned.
The human tried to keep his magical fire going, burning the Lizard, but Lythorne had dug too deep in his powers. Already tired from setting the forest ablaze with magic, he fell to his knees, and lost consciousness.

Trenyan head the retreat order. He was sure it was the human general ordering his army to fall back, but the voice didn't sound human. When he heard humans shouting louder than ever, he knew that this battle had turned into their favor.
But the three Leecher didn't retreat. They stood there, fighting. The human group around him was large enough to fend off one Leecher, but not three. Trenyan had decided how to use his Ice Molding to get the better out of the situation.


OOC : The Check Spelling option is awesome.

 

OOC: Actually we are going to have Legion join the crew soon.

Tristan narrowed his eyes as he scoped the distance. "looks like we may have headed a little to the east. I think that that there is the city of Nentrion. It might be a good idea to stop there and get some rest and food. Perhaps they have a healer there too." Tristan looked at Eleanor. "After all, you can't go limping around like that, and I can't go charging into the castle like this."

 

Becka woke up at looked over at Lanan. "Are you alright?" she asked. "You look a little scared or something."

 

She knows I'm awake... Lanan thought without answering or opening his eyes.
"Master had a bad dream, he thinks he's okay." Ruby told the Cylian girl.
Lanan shot up and looked at Ruby. "What do you mean I THINK I'm okay?" He then turned to Becka. "Yeah, I'm alright. Just a bad dream."
Lanan looked at the sky and noticed it was a mixture of blue and pink.
I guess we might as well leave now.... he thought as he got up and stretched. He yawned and let out a small growl, still tired from his lack of sleep.
"You two sleep well?" He asked Becka and Ruby.

 

Becka shook her head. "No I didn't." she said. "I'm still nervous Rubira is going to claw out my eyes, or bite my head off."

 

Rubira glared at the girl and sternly said, "I already told you: as long as my master wants you to live, I will not hurt you. If you still don't feel safe around me, I can not do anything about it. It is your problem."
She then looked at Lanan.
"I do not require sleep the way you do, Master. But I did have some time to rest." She said with a smile.

Lanan wasn't sure what to say to either one of them.
He looked at Becka, "You're safe, Becka, don't worry."
Turning his head to Ruby, "That's good..."
Lanan stretched again and gave out a long yawn.
"Alright, let's go." He then leaped to the road and landed on all fours. Getting back on his hind legs, he started walking. I wonder how I can tell her what I'm thinking when we get into town...

Rubira sped past Becka without looking at her until she was next to Lanan and started walking.

 

Eleanor nodded. "It's a smaller city, isn't it?" She touched her ankle selfconsciously; she hated having any hinderance, especially an injury. "It should take an hour or so to walk there."

 

"So what is the name of the town we are going to?" Becka asked

 

"Tyaom," Lanan replied.
"It's where the castle of the King of Ilianam lives. There may be a town or two before it, I'm not sure, though."

Tyaom? Ruby thought. It didn't sound familiar to her, but then again, last time she was released, she didn't pay any attention to names, just to her orders...

 

"I've never heard of that town." Becka mumbled pretty much talking to herself
