It took a while, but Kurt eventually saw both Lythorne and Trenyan, and joined them.

Lythorne could then explain the situation to the two lifetime friends.

"I'm not a trained strategist" said Trenyan. "Could there be any hidden meaning in those moves the King orders? Surely he desires to trap and ambush the Lizards and Leechers. He wouldn't abandon his entire kingdom like that!"
"I fail to see any strategy here. What's he thinking?! That King will get us all killed!"

Suddenly, a loud sound was heard. It was hard to identify what exactly did it ; a trumpet or something similar. A human that seemed like the leader of the camp had called all soldiers to gather around the remains of the town hall, which now served as headquarters.

As they walked towards the building, Kurt thought out loud. "Only one city hasn't been ordered to retreat, no? That's Quel, and it's just a bit south from here. We will need to fight to defend it, won't we?"
"Of course. Believe me, this camp is the only resistance the Lizards will face. At least, from this direction."
"I can't stay here. I've made some plans, you understand? And now that I found you two, I can tell them."

Kurt made sure no one could hear their whispers, as the voices of the soldiers around them covered all sounds.

OOC : I gave a name the secret town where live Kurt and Trenyan. It's "Lorya".

"The authorities of Lorya want to contact the princess of Ilianam. I told you that, didn't I? They believe she knows a lot about her father's recent behavior. And she's in danger, no? I had been instructed to find Trenyan, then go there and find her."

The three men debated the plans Kurt told, and started making their own agendas. Separate agendas.

While not so far away, a lone wolf ran, away from the rising sun, his gray fur shining in the ruby rays of the incoming morning. Finding, instead of his master, an ocean of ash with occasional islands of burning trees, he started roaming in the fields, hoping to sniff his master's smell.

 

Karchit stared at the miserable town of Quel. He was attacking from the East. It was time.

Screech licked his lips as he glanced at Quel's West side. He planned to cover the town in blood.

Biffem had made it back to the stable. He got off his horse and headed for the castle. As he made his way there, a cloaked figure ran past him. Biffem had barely managed to get a look at his face.
"General Kellington?" said Biffem questioningly.
The cloaked figure looked around. It was The General.

"Yes?" Kellington replied.

"Um...." Biffem hesitated. "I was just wondering what you were doing. And what's with the cloak?

Kellington stayed silent for a moment. Finally he decided to answer the question. "I was checking on the outer defenses, and I'm wearing this because I feel a tad chilly."

"You're chilly? But it feels so nice out today." said Biffem.

"I'm sorry, Biffem, but I'm a little busy." Kellington said in an irritated tone. "Perhaps we could continue this another time." And with out another word he left.

That's strange. thought Biffem. Normally the general isn't that rude.

 

The wind rushed across Azazel's face as he ran. He could see the town of Edelsteen up ahead. Not wanting to draw attention to himself, he made a quick turn. It would be better to go around the town, rather than through it, he thought logically, I may be fast, but the humans'll still notice me. The presence of Demons must remain a secret...for now.

 

Three hours have gone by since Eve had first sat down to help re-grow a part of the forest, since it is impossible for only one Cylian to re-grow the whole forest.
The sun was slowly retreating from the new green land that Eärendur created.
Thanks to him maybe, just maybe some wildlife will come back to this small area, but Eärendur’s good deed did not go unpunished. He was low on energy, and food, and it was almost dark.

Eleanor scowled when she finished reading the sign as well. Her free hand tightened into a fist. "Your father doesn't seem himself," she commented. "If such a market like this truly exists."

 

"No," He agreed. "He hasn't for a long time..... Come let's go find a place to heal our wounds and then I would like to get an update on the news of my country."

Nas was confused. something was up, but she didn't understand what.

 

"Sounds good," Eleanor agreed. "I think the best place to ask where to find a healer would be a local pub or the towne centre, if there's any building like that. I've never been here before..."

 

"Neither would I." said Tristan while pulling 3 coins from his pouch. "This place is not as I remember."
Tristan tossed the coins to a nearby beggar. "You, Do you know where I can find a healer?"
The beggar shook his head.
"What about the closest pub?"
The beggar pointed to a dirty looking building not far away. I was called 'The Phoenix'. Tristan nodded and tossed the beggar three more coins.
"Looks like we found our pub." Tristan said to Eleanor.

 

Eleanor smiled. "Good," she said as they walked up to the building. "Hey, do you know how to talk to these people? I mean, if we go in there, it may not be that safe or easy to get information..."

 

"Would Master Tristan like me to pound them, with my fists, till they speak?" Nas said sweetly

"Only as a last resort." Tristan said with a chuckle. "But unless I say otherwise, I would like you say to stay calm and say nothing. Hopefully, we can do this peacefully."

 

"Should I let you do the talking, then?" Eleanor said with a smirk. "My ideas seem to be more in the direction of Nas's."

 

"I'll do what I can. I would prefer not drawing too much attention." Tristan said as he stepped into 'The Phoenix'. A bunch of greasy looking men stared at Tristan and co. No, not at Tristan, just at Nas and Eleanor. One of them made a loud whistle aimed towards the two women.

 

A cloaked figure walked towards the travelers, a staff held as his side. every inch of his body was covered and garbed.

 

Tristan felt a tad uneasy about this place. "Excuse me, we are looking for a healer. Can anyone tell me where I can find a good one?"

 

There is no such thing as healing here child, only rot. I've been expecting you. Come with me outside of this building, outside these walls. It rots with corruption.

BIC: Tristan narrowed his eyes and examined the cloaked man. Suspicious. Tristan thought. Nobody knew that I was coming here. Why would he be waiting for me? He must be lieing or...... does he work for my father? Has he set a trap for me?
"Who are you?" Tristan said coldly.

"We can't discuss this here, there are far too many ears and hungry bellies. Please we must hurry as fast as we can."

The stranger walked out the door.

 

OOC: Tristan is suspicious of people like that.

BIC: Tristan thought some more. If he recognized who I am, I may have to kill him. But I can't go following someone I don't know like that. Think Tristan, you need to examine the situation.
If this man works for father, then he may have set a trap, which means that It may not be safe to leave this building.
Tristan walked up close to Nas. "Your true form is a ferret, right?" Tristan whispered.

Nas nodded to Tristan.

"Go to the lady's room and transform. I want you to sneak out of this place and make sure we are not being set up."

Again Nas nodded. She then proceeded to head for the lady's room. She enjoyed being useful for her master.

 

The man turned around and motioned to tristan anxiously, not even noticing that the young girl left.

"Hurry, they're coming."
