Gemini waved a hand as if to push away the terms she'd used. "Those are just code for 'strong', i'm sure." she decided. "I wish I was as independent as that." she added, fondly.

Lanan ducked and twisted to the best of his ability while still trying to control the tornado. He managed to avoid most of the beams, but a few had grazed his body. Ignoring the searing pain, Lanan had an idea. "Ruby! Catch me!" Lanan yelled as he ducked under a beam and leaped towards the tornado. Lanan molded a gust of wind to change his trajectory as he kicked his right leg towards the tornado, letting half of his Lineve bolts go. The bolts flew into the tornado and started flying around in the wind wildly. Before Lanan hit the tornado, Ruby's tail wrapped around him.

Using her claws to hold her in place, Ruby stretched her tail to catch Lanan before he flew in the tornado. As her claws started sliding as her body was being pulled into the tornado, she launched herself to the other side of the building. She bucked her tail and Lanan landed on her back and held on. "It won't kill her," she hissed as they raced through the town.
Lanan's hind claws couldn't dig into Ruby's hard scales and he was having trouble holding on to Ruby's waist as they sped through the town. The buildings were a blur as Ruby twisted around and over them, escaping the town. "I know," Lanan said as he looked back. The tornado had grown wildly since he stopped controlling it, but now the Demon had to go through a wall of wind, a wall of venom, and a dozen random Lineve bolts to escape. It won't kill her, but it'll slow her down, he thought as he worried about the effect the wild tornado would have on the town.

 

OOC: I've got to start paying more attention! ><

BIC: "He'd always smile when he said that to me," Sameire's eyes were distant in memories. She brought herself back to the present. "Well, I've got to be independent now. Things aren't good at home."

 

Gemini hesitated to ask because she knew she'd been asking a lot already. "Why is it so bad?" she finally asked anyway, hoping she wasn't being rude. Sameire's problems were already worrying her, she couldn't help being curious.

 

Alira was bored, she knew Lanan and Ruby were out of range.

 

"It's... complicated," Sameire replied after a moment. "I don't really know how to explain...."

 

"you don't have to tell me about it if you'd rather not." Gemini said, softly. "I don't want to make you uncomfortable."

 

"How do you feel about the King?" Sameire asked suddenly. She would decide how much to tell Gemini depending on her answer.

 

Lanan was slipping from Ruby's back due to the speed.
They had just left the town limits. "I think we need to put reins and a horse's saddle on you," he said with a smile.

"That'sss not even funny," Ruby hissed with a frown. She couldn't sense the Demon anymore, but she was too cautious too slow down.

Azazel had finally reached the outskirts of Tyaom, once again. He stopped running and walked into town.

 

"uh..." Gemini rubbed her nose, "I'm sorry, who?" She looked up towards the sky, hoping she wouldn't come off as too dim. She suddenly wished her father or mother had told her more about the world.

 

The Tornado faded away, the town was in ruins and the people were injured. "Join me people, and I will spare you all" she said to them all.

 

"The King of Tyaom," Sameire clarrified. She wasn't sure if it was because Gemini wasn't from around here, or if she just lived in her own little world, but the Crossbreed seemed a tad bit uninformed.

 

"I don't know who or where that is. I'm sorry." Gemini apologized, trying to laugh off her own ignorance. "Why?"

 

Sameire frowned. "Really? You don't know about Tyaom or the King?"

 

Gemini looked at her again. "No, I don't." she smiled apologeticly. "My clan was small. We stayed away from the world. Father didn't talk to me about the world and Mother... she just didn't either." she explained. "All I know is the clan."

 

"Um... okay." Sameire sighed. "What do you think of royalty in general?"

 

Gemini thought about it for a moment. "I think royalty seems heavy." she finally answered. "So much responsibilty. And it's so useless, really."

 

Sameire was surprised at herself for giggling. "Useless? Well, what would you think about a run-away princess?"

 

Gemini looked at her in surprise. "What is she running from?" she asked, scrutinizing Sameire now. "And yes, useless. I've lived my whole life without royalty, and my whole clan was fine. It has no need." she explained, smiling again. "Are you a run away princess?"

 

"She's running from her father," Sameire pulled her shirt's collar down to show the tatoo of the crest just below her collar bone. "Sorry for lying. I just don't know who I can trust."
