"Do you know where this person is or do you have to search?" Gemini asked feeling her curiousity taking over as usual.

 

Eve watched Kurt drift to sleep.
He is so cute when his serious.
I just hope he doesn't stress himself to hard about that princess.
It’s weird I have only known him for a day, yet I feel like I have met him before. Maybe it’s just my imagination.
Eve then looked at Flame Burst.
What type of name is Flame Burst?
Eve then looked at Kurt again to make sure he was asleep.
I wonder what tomorrow will be like.
OOC: Time skip to the morning.

The sun cracked through the night sky. The sun’s beams of light swept onto Eve’s face.
Eve’s eyes opened slowly. Usually Eve wouldn’t have been reluctant to get straight out of bed, but for some reason it took him an extra minute. Eve woke up on bed to the right of Kurt.

Eve was thinking if he should take a bath since he was going to meet this princess that is so important to Kurt. Then he questioned whether a town like this would still have a business with a public bath, so he decided to go ask Yin.
He tucked his sheets in, and then he watered Eura before putting her in his pouch. Eve headed to the front desk.
“Hello?” Eve said as he looked around to see that that no one else was up yet.
“There has got to be a pamphlet around here” Eve said as he searched the counter.
“Ah here it is” Eve said as he grabbed the last one.
The map of the town would have made the town look like a mall if it wasn’t for all the red marks over the businesses that were shut down. Eve then spotted the bath house on the map; thankfully it had not been crossed out yet.
Eve went back to the room to right a note to Kurt saying:
Woke up early, and decided to go to the bath house down the block.
Hopefully you still won’t be asleep when I get back.

Kurt woke up. The bed was uncomfortable, as expected from such lousy inn.
Flame Burst was awake. He was the one keeping the final guard.

After wondering where Eve was, he saw and read his note.

"I'd be amazed if he finds a place where to take a bath in here."

Kurt prepared his traveling bag, gave Flame Burst some meat, and settled down to eat too, waiting for Eve to return.

"I hope he doesn't take too long. I guess we'd better leave as soon as possible."

"No need to beat around the bush. So this creature was a demon."

Trenyan had heard of the demon war, but he never seriously thought about it. The little he heard about it came back from his memories.
Now, the thought of a war with those creatures seemed very possible.
The demon had taken over the King of Baflee. This was not to be taken lightly. Doubtless that war has been its intention all along.

Was that war really true? After his battle with Nevirz, Trenyan believed that it was indeed very real.

He looked at the sky once more. He had lost track of time. Who knows ; maybe morning came already, hidden by the thick clouds of smoke.

So, general, you seem to know more than I do. What exactly are those demons? And first, by what name shall I call you?

 

Eve had arrived back from the public bath.
"Good morning Kurt" Eve said to Kurt with a smile.
"You ready to go?"

 

Kurt had finished eating since a few minutes.

"Welcome back. I'm ready to go. We have no time to waste, so let's get moving."

Kurt hoped that this rest would be worth it.

 

"The last time I saw him, he was in Baflee..." He told her. "I was going to run all around that country asking for him and seeing if I could pick up his scent." Lanan looked down as he shook his head and closed his eyes, "I don't really know why he's the one I'm looking for. I've only met him once, but he seemed to be the type of person that could handle this information better than me."

 

He is always so serious.
Eve took a bite of his fruit before grabbing the keys.
They walked to the desk to see that Yin and Bubba weren't there. Eve saw a sign that said going out of business.
Eve dropped the keys on the front desk.
"Let’s go." Eve said sadly.

 

Kellington smiled, amidst all the chaos, they had never exchanged names. "My name is Danvil Kellington. Just Dan, is fine." Dan glanced at the demon again and frowned. "As for Demons, well, I probably don't know any more than you do."
Dan thought for a moment. "He mentioned that his job here was done. What could he have meant?" Dan thought hard about the tales that he heard, but each one was different form the next. Tales wouldn't do him any good. He would have to look through the library for information on this subject. That is assuming the library still stood, let alone the city, once the battle had ended.

Dan was drawn away from his thoughts by a loud roar. It was a roar that should have made him feel afraid, but instead it gave him hope. Dan took another look out the window. What he saw made him open his mouth in awe. Out there stood a creature of wonder. It was a dragon of White scales and turquoise wings. It was a sight that he knew would stick with him for life.

OOC: Nobody seemed to realize that Zack had roared at all, so I decide to put it in now.

Also, I don't want smoke to be covering the sky, Star. I know there was a great fire and all, but how bout the wind took the smoke north instead. It's nearly dawn by the way.

BIC: Tristan closed his eyes, he was exhausted, not only from lack of sleep, but also from the seriousness of his wound. "We'll figure something out." he said with a smile, weariness was about to overcome him. "I won't give up..... Not after coming this far....." And with that last thought, Tristan had fallen asleep.

OOC: I know, kinda lame.

 

"Everyone's looking for someone." Gemini mused to herself before looking at him seriously. "I guess being hounded by those people makes searching harder. Do you have any leads at least?"

 

Kurt and Eve had waled out of the inn, Flame Burst following.
"Now, Eve, will be a perfect time to put your tracking skills to the test. We have to find Sameire. If she's on the run, we can't afford wasting any time."

He thought for a second.

"If she's away from towns, then Flame Burst will be able to smell whenever anyone is near us. That will surely come in handy."

"Nice to meet you, Dan-..."

Trenyan had seen the dragon too. He was shocked.
"What is that thing? Another demon?!"

He braced himself for battle, but something was telling him he won't need to fight at all. Compared to the demon he just fought, that dragon seemed... a sign of hope.

"This is a lot. A lot of things happening in a short time. I have to return to my home when possible, so that I report these events. But that's assuming we make it out here alive."

 

Dan nodded as the dragon flew into the air and released another roar. "I only suggest that you wait till the battle is over. but the decision is yours."

 

"Alright."Eve said as he looked at the sky to find the northeast.
"Okay lets go." Eve said as he ran towards the northeast.

I changed my talking/thinking writing method recently, so sorry for the confusion.

BIC :

Finally moving through the lands, Kurt was happy he could get closer to his objective.
He wondered what Eve would do, however, if they find Sameire. What he'll do himself still remained unsure. It all depended on so many things...

 

Why am I even on this journey?
Eve glanced at Kurt.
Oh, yeah.
Eve blushed.
We should be closing in on her now.
"Flame Burst do you smell water yet?" Eve asked Flame Burst.

 

OOC : Isn't water supposed to be odorless?

BIC :

Trenyan wondered what was the best course of action. He would go into the battle, had it not been for that demon weakening him. He needed to rest.

"I'll wait here. I'm not in the mental shape to fight right now.

If I can suggest something, you should get some information about the battle! Your troops might be needing you! Who knows how many demons or... dragons might be there!"

 

OOC: Most animals can smell water except for humans.
I don't know how that works that other animals except humans can smell water from miles away.

BIC :

Kurt looked at his best friend's wolf.
Flame Burst sniffed, but by the way it was acting, the answer was clear.

"He hasn't smelled any. We must be away from any water source, right, Flame? We must cont-..."

Flame Burst suddenly let out a low growl, and sniffed harder, moving through the grass.
He ahd detected a few smells. Several people passed here, but he couldn't know if either of them was Sameire or not.
Most of the smells went towards the same direction. Only a few diverged, and went towards the west.

He used his head to point to both the directions he found.

Kurt knew what this meant. He explained immediately, excited.
"Wait! Flame Burst detected something. He's pointing towards two directions..."
The directions were easy to guess. One was towards the river. The other one was towards the town they just left.

Kurt suddenly figured it out.
"Several people passed by this place! Some went to the village, but others went to the river.
Now I got it! The princess, wherever she goes, it must be in isolated places, away from civilization. If we follow the... strangest trail we can find, we will find her!"

 

I think he has finally lost it!
"The strangest trail?" Eve said with confused look on his face.

"By "strangest trail", I meant the one that leads to the most obscure place. In this case, towards the river. You must have misunderstood me."
