Lanan was a little disappointed when he felt contact with her shoulder. I guess she can't- "oof!" He felt a kick in his back and fell into the tree. Rubbing his face, he got up. "I guess you can fight..." He said. His face wasn't bleeding, but he could feel some scratches on it. "Sorry about that. I just wanted to see how you can handle yourself..."

 

"Karchit!" Cried out one of the soldiers. "Someone is coming this way. We think it's a human on horseback."

Nevirz doesn't travel by horse back. Thought Karchit. "Kill him." was all he had to say.

OOC: I don't feel like fighting, lil. you do it, lol.

 

Gemini watched him suspiciasly, as if expecting another attack. "Well I hope that proved it." she said, gradually relaxing and walking over to him. "Are you okay?" she looked over the scratchs on his face alittle worried.

"It proved you have reflexes," Lanan said, still rubbing his face. "And yeah, I'm alright. Doesn't hurt that much."

Zuiden saw people running towards him. He realized they were Lizards. He pulled his horse into a stop and raised his hands. "Whoa! I'm not looking for trouble. I have a message for your leader."
The Lizards stopped, but one of them stepped forward. "A messsage? From who?"

Zuiden smiled. "Me. Tell him I have a way for him to increase his forces."
The Lizard looked confused. "Who are you?"

"Zuiden Virh, leader of the Guild of the Steel Sword." Zuiden said, slowly lowering his hands.
The Lizard looked at the others. "Sssurround him." As the other Lizards followed the order, he addressed Zuiden, "You'll be guarded," he said, looking at Zuiden's weapon on his back, "follow uss." He turned around and walked back into the camp.

Zuiden nudged Crescent's rib. "Come on." He followed the Lizards to what seemed to be the biggest tent.
"They'll watch your horssse. Give me your weapon and ssstep insside." The Lizard in charge said as he held out his hand.

Zuiden nodded and hopped off his horse. He gave the reins to one of the other Lizards and his Kusari Gama to the one in charge, following him into the tent.
"Thisss way," he lisped, walking into the tent. "Karchit. Thiss man ssaysss he hass a messsage for you."

 

Karchit hissed and walked up to the soldier. "Tell me, what were the orders that were given to you?"

"To.... To kill him, sssssir." said the lizard.

"And what did you do instead?" asked Karchit.

"H-he ssssssaid he had a messssssage." The lizard said nervously.

Karchit slit the lizard's throat with his claws. "You should have followed your orders." He said to the dieing lizard.

 

Zuiden couldn't help but smile when the Lizard fell, choking on his own blood. The thud of his body was drowned out by the metallic clank when his weapon fell from the Lizard's hands. "Karchit, was it? I think you and I are going to get along fine," He said, smiling. Zuiden flex his hands, just in case things went wrong. He still had the dagger hidden in his boot.

 

Karchit picked up the weapon that fell to the ground and examined it. After turning it over twice, he started swinging the chain over his head. "You're not even going to have the time to get to know me." he said with an expressionless face. He then threw the chain so it would tangle around the man's neck.

 

Trenyan knew that following Kellington would uncover more mysteries of what was going on.
"My name is Trenyan. And I am indeed interested in coming."



Flame Burst kept sniffing. After a few minutes, he had detected more smells. He, Eve and Kurt were at a small road.
Nearly all of the smells came from either end of the road. But a few, fainter ones seemed to come from the west. He could also smell water in that direction.

Once again, the wolf pointed to the three directions he had detected.

"We're on the right track" said Kurt.
"You predicted the princess to be at the river, Eve, and Flame Burst leads us there. Either this is an unfortunate coincidence, either we're going to find her real soon!"

 

Karchit was too close for Zuiden to dodge. The chain successfully wrapped around his neck, but Zuiden caught the end with one hand before the spiked ball could hit his face. "Smart," he struggled to say. He then put his other hand on the part of the chain in front of his neck. He molded the metal so it would broke. He then unwrapped the part around his neck and swung it one hand. "You still have my weapon, but I can protect myself with this small part." He smiled as he talked, but rubbed his neck with his other hand. "So, are you going to listen to me now or are we going to have a fight on our hands, which I wouldn't prefer at the moment."

 

Karchit hissed. He didn't realize he was dealing with a Cylian. "And give me one good reason why I would listen to a filthy Cylian, such as yourself?"

Dan smiled. "Well then Trenyan, my friend, we better get going then." Dan glanced over at the soldier. "Take us to him."

The soldier jumped. He was staring at the dead demon with a confused look on his face. "Y-yes, right away, Sir." And with that, the soldier lead the way down the hall.

 

Zuiden gave a small chuckle at the phrase "filthy Cylian". "Come on, we're both Desert dwellers. My guild was based in the desert like you Lizards. I'm sure we can get along." He dropped the chain and the spiked ball barely missed his own foot. He then stopped smiling, "In all seriousness, I think we can both benefit each other. My guild is prepared to join your forces. It's a relatively small group compared to your army, but they can last in a battle better than yours."

 

Karchit bared his teeth. "My army would have wiped this city off the map had the angelens not shown up. You better watch your tongue or you won't make it out of here alive."

 

"I wasn't talking about this battle in part-" Zuiden then realized what Karchit had said, "An-angelens?!" In a rare instance, Zuiden was shocked. "What are you talking about Lizard?"

 

Karchit smirked. "Wouldn't you like to know, Cylian?" he said mockingly.

 

"Fine, keep your secrets, Lizard." Zuiden retorted. After all, I have my own... "But with my guild and your army, we can send this land into ruin! All I want is to cause a little bit of chaos, maybe become wealthy on the way." Zuiden smiled as he continued, "You seem intent on a little chaos of your own, so I thought you could understand."

 

"What I want to do," growled Karchit, "Is wipe humanity off the map. So unless your army is willing to do such, I suggest that you take your leave."

 

"I guess that's where our plans differ, Karchit," Zuiden said calmly, "I don't want to wipe humanity off the map, I want to RULE it!" As Zuiden talked, his smile turned into an evil grin. "I want control over everything! You and me can make it happen, we can rule all of Demoir! And if people have to die for us to gain that power, then so be it. Genocide sounds like a plan."

 

"That sort of ambition will only get you killed. This world belongs to the demons. Their wrath will fall upon anyone who thinks otherwise. There are only two sides. The demons, or the anglens. Any in-betweeners will wind up dead in the up coming war."

 

Aidou stood, cradeling Aduial in his arms. He made his way to the captain, using sounds and scents as his vision faded further. "Are you and your crew ready?"

Sameire woke to a rumbling. She sat up, the dome around her dissapating, and realized it was her stomach that had woken her. Placing a hand on her stomach, she mumbled, "I wish I'd gotten food...."

Eleanor couldn't help but smile at Tristan's determined words. "Sleep, then," she said, suddenly realizing that she was getting tired as well. Keeping her injured leg up on her good one as she sat, she leaned her head on Tristan's shoulder and shut her own eyes, though she didn't sleep for a long time.
