raising his hands, the man began to walk away.
"Alright alright, I'm goin. I already got what I wanted. I just need to know one thing. What are you exactly?"

 

"I'm not at liberty to tell you." Nas said coldly. She prepared herself just in case.

 

Kurt saw that Sameire didn't doubt their reasons. This would be easier than he thought.

"We came to you because you are the King's daughter. Not only was it clear that you needed help, if only to escape, but may also know more than anyone else. Know more about what's going on."

 

"And you expect me to tell you this supposed information that I may know?" Sameire folded her arms.

 

"Yes", said Kurt.
"We know that you aren't ill-minded. You aren't part of your father's plans, because you escaped from your home! We thought that you might want to help the world discover what's going on."

 

"That may be true," Sameire began. "But I still have no reason to trust you, or your buddy there." She nodded to Eve. "Tell me what you know first, and I might be willing to make you a deal." She never was the most diplomatic person in her family, but she wasn't ready to spill the beans to someone she just met.

 

"You might? That doesn't sound too promising." Eve said petting Flame Burst.

 

Sameire glanced at Flame Burst. "If I figure I can trust you from what you tell me, then I'll tell you what I've found out."

 

"Well as I said I am Eve, prince of the plant molders.
I am almost considered to be a master molder all I have is one more challenge before I am ranked a master, and that is to give a plant a personality.
I have just met Kurt like a day ago, and he asked me to come and help him find you, so I agreed. But soon after we experienced a small sound wave from who knows where.
Ummmm, and we got an inn after seeing hundreds of begging villagers.
And that’s about it.†Eve said.

 

The shrouded frame of the stranger shook with laughter.

"Fair enough fair enough. Can I at least get your name young lady?"

 

Roots shot up at the man in a threatening manner. "No." Said Nas as she moved Tristan towards the back of the alley. Holding him in the air was sapping much of her strength.

 

Kurt told her about his recent past.

"I witnessed battles between Baflee and Lizards. And by now, the whole kingdom might be razed.
By friends are still there, probably dead. I was charged by the authorities of my town to find you, so that we may learn whatever you know about Lizards, your father's actions, or other odd things happening."

 

"Okay," Sameire drew out the word. She decided that she could trust the two men before her. By the looks of them, she probably wouldn't win in a fight anyway. Slowly, and with as much detail as she could manage, she described what she'd learned since her eldest brother had been killed. By the time she'd reached the end, she was staring at the ground, fists clenched. "And I was right all along... That thing told me straight to my face that it's not my father."

Hey Garxena, about that rune book Sameire read... it informed her of the veracity of the ancient war, or what did it do? I forgot, and it's like 1000 posts away...
And did she tell that too?

Kurt listened, trying to imagine everything Samerie was saying.

When she was done, Kurt was taken aback. He expected something unusual to have happened in the royal family... but not something this strange!

"Not surprising that you wanted to escape, huh? I don't even pretend to understand what's going on, but together, we can gather all our knowledge.

Why didn't that... "thing", just kill you? Do you suspect that it has some plans for you, and wants you alive?
Because if it does, you'd want to get out of here!"

 

"I'm not sure," Sameire answered. "But I can't think of any other reason why he didn't kill me - other than to keep up apperiances."

Dan examined the hallway. There was a tapestry, depicting an ancient war, on the stone floor. Dan bent on his knees and examined the tapestry. "Interesting."

Zack was growing weary but his attacks still came on strong. He heard a screech come from above. Kael, what are you doing?

 

Gemini listened, watching Lanan's expression. "How old are you, exactly?" she asked, thinking over what he'd said while she asked.

 

Lanan rested his head on his hands and turned his head to look at his new companion, "425," he said calmly. "By Cylian standards, I'm not an adult. By every other standard, I"m ancient," he gave a small laugh as he talked. "What about you?"

Zuiden stayed quiet for a few minutes. Angelens? Demons? The War was real? At first he was in shock, but after a few minutes a smile appeared on his face. He looked into Karchit's eyes as his smile grew into a grin, "In that case, the Demons have a new ally." With a new plan forming in his head, Zuiden started trembling with excitement.

 

Gemini put a hand to her forehead. "Hells, I'm only 45." she answered, stunned that being only half Cylian could still let someone live that long. I wonder if I'll get that old. I hope so.
