Kurt knew that the whole situation was more complicated than he thought. It seemed that each word Sameire said was adding a new mystery.

Eve didn't seem to understand much either. What could they do to ge to the bottom of this?

"Things are dire, aren't they... what are your plans, princess? Surely you must have taken the resolution to help your kingdom!"

Kurt suddenly realized that Sameire had escaped on her own. Otherwise, she would be with her helpers. With this in mind, he hoped that she was a resourceful person.

Trenyan followed Kellington. He had no idea what was going on, except for the fact that danger was near. And what about the battle...at any moment, the castle could be taken over.

 

Sameire frowned. "I was under the watch of five guards. I couldn't take anything but this with me." She unsheathed her dagger and took out the papers that had the translation of the first three chapters of the rune-written book on them. "It's not much, I know. But it's got some good information." She placed her dagger back in it's sheath, keeping the papers out.

 

Kurt shot a glance at the papers. He expected to see something typical, such as a map with the "targets" drawn in bright red "X"s.
But what he saw were odd symbols he did not recognize.

"What exactly do those papers say?"

 

"They talk about an ancient war. One that's supposed to be a bedtime story," Sameire explained. "Unfortunatly, I wasn't able to take the book. So this is all I know."

 

"Bed time stories are never actually bed time stories, aren't they?" thought Kurt.

"So does it reveal anything relevant to today? What's an ancient war got to do with today?"

 

"I have a feeling that one of the creatures that this book discusses has taken my father's place as king," Sameire stated. "But the only proof I have is that it told me that it's not my father. I don't know what it is exactly."

 

"Do you know what it looks like?" Eve asked

 

"That would explain why he beheaded your brother. It wasn't really his father doing so, And send the other one in exile-..."

Kurt realized he was casually talking about events that may have been painful for Sameire.

Er, sorry about that. Got a bit carried away, talking like that about... yeah.

 

"It's okay... " Sameire said to Kurt. "I know the kingdom has been fed lies about my brothers."
"It looks exactly like my father," Sameire sighed, speaking to Eve now. "I thought it was a shapeshifter at first, but then my real father would have to be somewhere. Or... dead. I don't think that's the case. I've done my studying, and I've come to a theory: Whatever is posing as my father has my father's body. It's got to be some sort of... I don't know, a parisite or something. I can't think of any other explination. And if I'm right, then my father is still there; but... he can't do anything...."

 

Eleanor cried out and ran on her injured leg over to Tristan when she spotted him.

"Hey," she said, kneeling down next to him and cringed at the weight on her foot. "Wake up," she spoke a little louder, nudging his shoulder as she pulled the back off of her back. "Wake up!"

 

"In that case", said Kurt, "We must make something for him."

Without pausing to think about how his answer was unoriginal, he continued.

"There are severlas paths you can follow. You can escape the kingdom, go in any civilized place, and research more about what you've learned. Or you can attempt to inform the authorities of other lands, about what you know. If you want, you can even turn back and try to free your father yourself."

He then added.

"But no matter what you decide, I'd like to propose my services as an ally. I want to learn what's going on... even more, I'm on a mission to learn what's going on. Helping you in your endeavors is the best way of doing so, isn't it?
What do you say?"

 

Nas turned back into her human form. She still was without clothes. "Where have you been?" said Nas angrily. "Master is ill! I sense his strength slipping from him and he's been mumbling to himself. He's shivering even though his forehead feels hot. He was attack by someone too. I was forced to protect him because you were gone. Master is dieing! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?"

Dan grabbed a torch and entered the secret chamber. "Do you smell anything?" He asked his new friend.

 

Trenyan sniffed.

"Aside a corpse, nothing."

 

Sameire stared at Kurt. "Are you offering your services to me? Because my goal is none of those. I'm looking for my brother."

 

Wherever Kurt goes I go as well, but then again Eura is about to hit her Pupil phase, and I have to find somewhere in nature to give her personallity.

"Your brother?" Eve said in a confused tone.
OOC: Isn't he dead?

 

OOC : ZC, Tristan is also Sameire's brother. Another brother who never appeared is the one who is dead.

BIC :

"I should have been able to guess that, shouldn't I? Very well. I can help you just as much.
If, of course, you agree."

Kurt wondered what will Eve do. He can't force him to embark on such a dangerous journey.

 

"I do accept," Sameire nodded. "I will repay you however I can when this is over."

 

Kurt was surprised at how well things went.

"Then so be it. However, you don't need to pay me. It's not like I'm doing this out of charity. Learning what you learn is payment enough, for the sake of my mission."

He then looked at Eve.

"Eve, I brought you here, but I don't even know what are your personal plans. What will you do now?"

 

Eve didn't know what to do.
He had to protect Eura at all costs, and more importantly he had to raise her.
Eve can't just charge of with some boy he just met, no matter how cute he was.

 

Ruby was slithering through the forest slowly. She had trouble moving her tail with the petrified cut. "Massster?" She hissed loudly. She knew he wasn't go too far, she could still sense his presence.
