Ah should of remembered to post my field after my move and no you don't target Marauding Captain because first I summoned him and then used hsi effect to Special Summon Junk Synchro then used the two cards to Synchro Summon Junk Gardna in DEF mode, when you use cards for a Synchro SUmmon, those cards go to the graveyard.

It's kind of like your Polyimerzation Card but you can send the material monsters to thegraveyard to summon that respective monster from your Extra Deck

Synchro Summon works on the same function except the monsters don't use Polyimerzation but still get to the graveyard as the material.

Junk Gardna has 2600 Defense.

Since Junk Gardna is in DEF mode, his DEF points 2600 while your Aqua Dragon has 2250 ATK, meaning it won't be able to do any damage to me cause my monster's DEF is higher than your attack and sicne you fusion summone din ATK mode, you cannot change the battle position of your monster until your next turn,

 

What about field spells? How do they work?

 

There are 5 monster card zones to summon monsters and 5 zone sin the back row for Spells and Traps, the Field spell has it own special zone and it usually works in boosting monster strength or adding counters or a special effect of drawing more cards or adding monsters to the hand, there are many specfic field spells with many different abilites.

 

Okay but how does it activate?

 

You play it just like any normal Spell Card and it remains on the field until the opponent destorys it with a destruction card, let's take Jaden's Skyscraper for example, it's effect boosts all Elemental Hero cards by 1000 in ATK and DEF when battling a stronger monster, the field spell's potenial lie in boosting their power during the battle phase then returning to normal

There are many field spells that have unique twists but they all work the same, there has been some support to protect these field spells but msot people use cards that begate destruction ones like if Jaden had Skyscraper and I played Mystcial Space Tyhoon, he could negate it with a Magic Jammer or Dark Bribe or using a trap to pay half his lifepoints or maybe use EMeregency provisions to destory his field spell before MST has a chance to destroy it, making MST worthless and a waste of a card.

 

Does that apply to Umiiruka too?

I can chain by activating Junk Gardna's effect, you see I can switch any of my opponent's monster's battle position once per turn and so, I switch your Aqua Dragon to DEF mode and you cannot change that position until your next turn.
