I hope those 2 spell/trap cards in your hand are good ones, Cause you're gonna need them! You really should've chained better to my Giant Trunade when you had the chance! I'm afraid that's going to be your downfall!

    don't worry, they are good.
    I discarded Garoth, Lightsworn Warrior.

    main phase one---
I was hoping I wouldn't need to start removing things from the grave quite yet, but it seems I do. I activate Pot of Avarice
    [IMG]

I return Judgment Dragon, Shire, Lightsworn Spirit, Gragoith, Lightsworn Dragon, Garoth, Lightsworn Warrior, and Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter to my deck, shuffle it up, and if you have nothing to chain, draw two cards.

    chain?

    I chain Disappear!

And I remove your Gragonith Lightsworn Dragon from play! And thus the rest of your cards remain in the graveyard and you do not draw any cards!

(I checked Pot of Avarice's rulings and yes, Chaining this does do this.)

If any of the five targeted monsters are not in the Graveyard when Pot of Avarice is trying to resolve then the effect of Pot of Avarice is not applied. So if D.D. Crow or Disappear is chained to Pot of Avarice and removes from play one of the five targeted monsters then the remaining cards are not returned to the Deck and no cards are drawn.

and send from the deck to the grave ryko, wulf, and lightsworn saber from my deck to the grave, the wulf special summons itself in atk mode, and the saber equips to it chain?

    A wolf with a lightsaber...scary.

I'm looking for an opponent now, you can choose to play either Kaiba or Saix's deck.

    No you can't.

And the first part of Charge of The Light Brigade is the cost of that card so even if I negate it your Wulf will still be Special Summoned and will still be equipped with that Saber.

    Activate Counter Trap! Paradox Fusion!

I remove my Elemental Hero The Shining from play to negate and destroy your Charge of The Light Brigade!

You now have no cards in your hand but you have a powerful monster on your field equipped with a Lightsaber.

And I am now handless and fieldless...

So you may proceed to attack me directly.

I... I.. you've tried to steal the power of the Judgment Dragon, so you must be punished, but... you seem to really be pure. Nevertheless, I have been tasked to defeat you, and so I will.
Wulf, attack him. your LP: 7800
    I end my turn.
    hand: 0

couldnt he have just...used magic drain to negate that effect completely?...
    (without killing his own monster.)

then he wouldn't get it back in two turns.

edit: Jaden is good, I don't think I can win this.

magic drain lets you discard a card from your hand to negate its effect but you only have 1 card so there is no way you could have escaped from its effect...
meaning your lightsworn would never have been special summoned and your card goes to the graveyard...which would end your turn and Jaden could have direct attacked you making you lose half of your LP...
(magic drain doesnt need monster sacrifices...)

what happened was a cost for my card, him negating it doesn't stop it, and I could have destroyed the shining with wulf, but really, I think he was worried I wouldn't attack.
