Well then, if Quasar gets destoryed, you realise I get Shooting Star Dragon out Lyris.

I was agreeing with the fact that Stardust can't negate Counter Traps...Now can we just drop it already?

If you're going to correct people, listen to what they're saying.
    Here's how the chain resolves:
First, Quasar is negated and destroyed. Quasar leaves the field.
Second, Quasar is negated, and has no effect. No change in game state.
Third, Synchro Material creates a lingering effect. No change in game state.
Fourth, Trap stun creates a lingering effect which negates all other trap effects, including Synchro Material's. No change in game state.

The last change to the game state is Quasar leaving, so he does not miss. Material's lingering effect is negated before you can use it.

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but read what I'm saying first.

    Nice try, Fred: http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/255506-an-explanation-of-missing-the-timing/
Bolded is why Quasar missed the timing; resolution changes game state, not activation. Also (last sentence in first paragraph): http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Lingering_Effect
P.S.: I did read what you said. I think I proved you wrong.

I read that while trying to answer if costs can cause timing to miss (If anyone knows, please say something) and it doesn't disprove me. Since I don't know how to explain my point alone, I'm Going to copy/paste at you for a moment.

1:50 AM - SirFred131: If you activate Scrap Chimera, and I negate it with divine wrath, can you summon an emperor?
    1:50 AM - Dharak0: yes?
    1:50 AM - SirFred131: Why?
1:51 AM - Dharak0: because nothing happens after Chimera being destoryed.
    1:51 AM - Dharak0: destroyed*
1:51 AM - SirFred131: But it still resolves after destruction. Why doesn't it miss?
1:52 AM - Dharak0: because its effect is negated, it resolves without effect.
1:52 AM - SirFred131: Exactly. it does nothing.

Dharak0 being our user of Scraps and Meklords.
If Chimera's effect does nothing, it doesn't cause a miss. I'm saying nothing in that chain does anything yet, so they won't cause a miss. As for your lingering effects..
Specific trumps general, and I trust Omega more than anyone else on rulings.

At least nobody is bugging me about this. I haven't Dueled in a really long time. Been a really long time since I played this game.

EDIT: Yeah it's been a long time so I probably won't be able to answer any questions about rulings. My knowledge has gotten really rusty.

It looks like it's been 24 hours since Protector's last move.

    Oh, but it is.
    according to the rules:
    7. You must take your turn within 24 Hours of when your opponent took their turn or it automatically counts as a forfeit. You must also finish the move you're making within 24 Hours.

Protector did not make a move, he simply posted.

I know I'm just saying it's unacceptable that he had to lose that way. I don't like it when that happens.
