Rukia doesn't actually seem that broken. It stops you from using spells or traps until the end of the next turn, so what? Just means you need to be a bit more careful with your choice of monsters doesn't it?

 

it doesnt... its alright jaden but she uses ice and thats the only thing I could think of at the time

Just use Straight Flush or Xing Zhen Hu or whatever at their end phase depending on what they do and they're screwed next turn...

EDIT: And while we're on this subject I've been having a discussion with people about Great Shogun Shien. I was thinking he should be banned in the arena. I mean all you have to do is summon him and Legendary Six Samurai - Shi En on the same turn and then set a bunch of facedowns and whoever you're Dueling is screwed unless they have a Lava Golem...

In case you don't understand what I mean I'll explain:

Player 2 activates Heavy Storm. Player 1 negates it with Shi En's effect. They'll have no choice but to take out the opposing player's backfield first. But then they won't be able to activate anymore cards afterwards because of Great Shogun Shi En, And they'll be left with only 3 cards left in their hand next turn while being helplessly overpowered by a Six Sams swarm next turn. And if they don't try to get rid of the backfield but set a bunch of facedowns the Six Sams Player can just use a Straight Flush or a Xing Zhen Hu etc. and well I don't think I need to say anymore.

I figured he should at the very least be Limited even though my mentor disagreed. I'm not trying to be biased or anything. But I won't lie. I really do despise Six Sams. But they're even more broken arena-wise. And they could still survive even without their boss monster. Banning Great Shogun Shien wouldn't ruin the deck or even cripple it. They can still swarm the field and spam Synchros and Xyzs and steamroll the opponent even without Shien.

It is MASSIVELY broken for one reason which I will state now:


There. Now no effect veiler. No scarecrow, no Maxx "C", and no spell/trap cards for them either. Next turn you play a card that stops them from special summoning or prohibit battle fader, unblockable OTK complete with basic cards.
