    no. Yami Yugi legitimately cheats, Yusei just gets plot/fate BS.
    Remember the duel with Pegasus where Yami Yugi has difficulties drawing a card, and doesn't think he can do it? That's because he can choose whatever he wants, but it takes effort, and he was weakened from all the shadow realm stuff.

    Remember in the bonds beyond time movie when Yami Yugi stole back stardust dragon?

    well...I dont know the rulings on that card but it looked like he aimed for Malefic Paradox Dragon.
    if that was true...Yami Yugi's card would have resolved without effect cuz it couldnt steal Paradox Dragon...not say "well that means I can go for Stardust then >_>".

    People, they're anime protagonists...And we all know that everyone from the anime is rigged so that they all always get to draw what they need because of the "heart of the cards" and "believe in yourself" crap...

    I checked wikia and it turns out Paradox isnt really that good of a duelist..
    had a fail assumption that Yami was going for Malefic Paradox Dragon and made it unaffected by Yami Yugi's card way too early...
    wasted a perfectly good card too...

    No...Paradox could have beaten them...
    if he just waited for Yugi to say which monster he is targeting with his spell THEN chain Malefic Force on whatever Yugi targets...
    Yugi would have never stolen back Yusei's Stardust Dragon...
    which means they would never have won the duel! D<
    Antagonists these days...dont even know how to win duels even though they are perfectly capable of doing so...

    Yeah and there was also the time in GX when Kagemaru could've beaten Jaden if he had just attacked with his other Sacred Beasts after the first one...
