Excuse Me But...I Need To Vent For a Moment...

ARRRGH!!! WHY?!?!? HOW COULD KONAMI DO THIS?!?!? THIS IS JUST BULLCRAP MAN!!! THIS IS SO MUCH BULLCRAP IT'S NOT EVEN FUNNY!!!

HOW DO THEY EXPECT US TO COME UP WITH ANY DECENT STRATEGIES IF THEY'RE GONNA BAN ALL THE GOOD CARDS AND LEAVE US WITH NOTHING BUT CRAPPY ONES?!?!?

 

they just expect us to be good duelists. They don't have a problem with people like you and me using strong cards, Jaden. the problem that they have is that when little kids get their hands on cards like Solemn or CCV, you see completely unskilled people winning tournaments. that gets annoying. There's plenty of worthwhile strategies, even with all of these cards banned.

For example, Lightsworn decks did not get touched at ALL, but thats only because Lightsworn cards are incredibly expensive so Konami knows most kids wont be able to get them.

Oh lol at people getting all pissy at the new bans and limits. It's not that big a deal guys. Any card can be destructive in the right context.

 

That being said, this new format made me take like eight critical cards out of my deck. Brb scamming pawn shops.

Well...I'm not really surprised about one thing...Crush Card Virus is pretty overpowered so I kinda thought they'd have to Ban in eventually...I was kinda surprised they didn't Ban it sooner...Cause I know I've heard people talking about how overpowered that card is...

I'm curious to know this though:

Why is Cyber-Stein Banned? It has a very big cost to it...5000 Life Points seems like a pretty big price to pay just to get to Special Summon a Monster from your Fusion Deck without it even ignoring the summoning conditions...

My only guess to why Cyber-Stein and Magical Scientist are Banned is because they were involved in an OTK...But that seems like a pretty dumb reason to ban them...They both have pretty steep costs...And I wouldn't think most players would even know how to do an OTK with them...

Although, I have used Cyber-Stein before and it's been quite helpful to me. And Magical Scientist is quite helpful with things like Thousand-Eyes Restrict.

 

And I still can't get over how they Banned Pot of Greed...I mean, I thought that card was essential for EVERY Deck...

If I didn't know better I'd say Konami was just trying on purpose to tick us off...

 

Jay-den, you are seriously underestimating the power of those cards.

Examples:
Magical Scientist + Mokey Mokey King
Magical Scientist + Cannon Soldier + Catapult Turtle
Cyber Stein + Cyber Twin Dragon

Also since both of these are centers of FTK decks cost is completely and totally irrelevant.

 

Did you read the bottom line of my post? I said that I DID find some uses for those cards.

But thanks for sharing some more. I'm gonna have to remember those.

I've actually used Cyber-Stein quite alot in the videogames and it's really helped me. It can also be used to summon things like Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon and Cyber-End Dragon!:D

And your right, I hadn't thought about how cost doesn't matter if they're used in an FTK/OTK...

CCV is banned because its easy to get now. Back when it was just limited, it was INCREDIBLY rare. The only way to get it was in the Gold Series pack, which cost 20 bucks, and the chances of getting it was 1:50. That's why it was allowed, not most people had it. It's banned now because it was just re-released in the Turbo pack and its worth like 10 bucks now. so now its banned.

my deck is machine and i have 2 other decks jaden i do also have an elemantal hero deck they are pretty good i guess

 

...That's great? I have no idea where you live but when I played tournaments I used to rank state.


I need to start playing tournaments again.

 

As you all probably would've guessed I play using an Elemental Hero/Evil Hero/Neo-Spacian Deck...Other types of Decks are a problem for me...Those are the only Decks I'm good with.

I do own a few cards in real life too.

 

Actually, IRL I used to play a control/Burn but nowadays I'm playing a Burn/Beatdown/Swarm.
