The Yugioh Card Duel Arena 11.0

I don't like to complain but this duel has been going on for about three days now I don't feel good as I had a flu shot the yesterday as well as a TB test for a volunteer job I'm going for and because I don't feel good I'm becoming irritated. If you going to continue the duel please continue if not I would like a chance to take on the Supreme King for this RP.

The following spoiler contains a conversation between Zack and Akane that explains both why Zack isn't here, and why a new character, Lucia, will be joining the RP. If you have no interest in that, feel free to not read it.

"And I paid you back for it, so I'd appreciate it if you simply forgot about that incident.. But if you're willing to go that far, this must be serious. What's the deal?"



"Something major is going on in one of the outer worlds. Multiple power players are involved, including Astral and Yubel. On top of that, I'm afraid that either Yubel or Haou has been unsealed. Maybe both. If left unchecked, they could take down their entire dimension."




"Isn't that the part where you swoop in, play the hero, and duel everyone into submission?"




"I'm busy taking care of the problems caused by Void collapsing his universe. Right now I'm keeping him in check by not letting him out of my sight, but if I try to maintain focus on both Void and the collapsing universe I wont be able to duel."




"What about Chihaya and Sakuya? That pair should be able to beat even you without too much trouble."




"You really think that an outer world that's already under stress could support them?"




"Okay, I get it.. But what do you expect me to do about it? I need to stay here, Shizuru isn't going to help us, and even if Lucia could handle this, moving her would do even more damage than moving Sakuya."




"You still have the equipment from the Next Gen project, right? If we freeze Lucia, I can use Flash Image Incarnation to get her there."




"So it will heal the world instead of hurting it. Clever. But will Lucia be able to handle it?"




"If Lucia fails.. I'm going to need you to make a move."




"If I leave now, all of my work so far will go to waste. Are you prepared to compensate me for that?"




"I'll do my best to take care of things while you're gone.. But of course that wont be enough. One favor, no matter how large, if you are required to leave.

I will probably have Lucia join soon, although I haven't looked at the archetype she will initially use yet, so I'm not sure how will it will work in Arena. It will probably be pretty weak.

 

Ladies and Gentelmen! (As Sakaki Yuya would say) Now we got plots.

 

More accurately, I got plots. Since it only explains why my characters are acting. I'm not really sure why everyone else is.

 

Well as for my character, he acts because Super De-Fusion is incomplete. It can do some damage, both to user and it surroundings. As long as card is finished he don't cares who he sides with.

 

OOC: That is not a plot. At best, it shows where the heck Akane went to after her "draw" against C. Blossom, why Zack won't appear and introduces Lucia. But it simply gives out infos dumps without bothering to explain what anything they say means.

At least I decided to leave out the more technobabble parts from Nanoha and specific terminology ridiculousness from Precure. And I try to explain the bits I do leave in, either IC or in a OOC footnote.

Don't get me wrong @SirFred131, if you are reading this. I did get some things from context and loved the passive-agressive snark-to-snark combat from Akane and Zack (funnily enough, you once mentioned Zack had a mistress and I inwardly guessed she was Akane. Turns out "I knew it!"). The problem is that you should have at least tried to bring more context for an easier understanding.

 

And nobody guessed I was talking about moving plot. Its staying at: "WTF this kid come from, let's duel him into submission" right now, so new characters will mean moving plot (hopefully).

 

But it's not like that. These are duels for fun. Think of it as "bonding". I know these duels drag the plot a bit, BUT this is a Duel Arena. Duels are necessary to happen here or else this thread would have to be moved to the Roleplay Corner (I think that's the name).

I chose not to explain the technobabble simply because it wasn't particularly relevant to anything.

Note: The following contains some spoilers for Rewrite, skip to the second to last paragraph if you care.
If you're curious, the Next Generation of Humanity project did some genetic engineering on Lucia to allow her to survive the end of the world; the equipment being referred to here is for cryogenic stasis meant to let her last until then.
Flash Image Incarnation is something of my own design, not related to Rewrite (the source material of Akane and Lucia). It's one of the various methods of dimension travel Zack has access to, which happens to have its cons negated by Lucia's unique genetic design. Basically you create a freeze frame of a person and then use that information to build a copy of them in another dimension, generally with the help of someone who can travel more freely than you can (e.g. a god). The problem is that a large amount of life energy is consumed in building the pattern all at once, which makes it impractical in most cases. Since Lucia doesn't use normal life energy due to her genetic modifications, the problem isn't a problem.

As for Zack's "mistress", that's referring to Number C103: Ragnafinity, which he essentially worships as a god. Used here as the female alternative to "master". What, exactly, the relationship between Akane and Zack is is something I'm not really sure of yet. We'll have to see how it develops if they get screen time together again.

More context for more understanding would have been a good idea, and wouldn't have been too hard, but I was worried about getting too off-topic. I figured it would be better to just have the conversation of two people who had full information develop naturally, and let people make whatever guesses they like.
