That's what I said. I didn't say dueling was the cause, I said it was the time. I said " He was happy when dueling", And when I said he became depressed when he stopped I said that that may have not been linked.

 

I read that as if you were saying that he assumed the cause was him no longer dueling that caused him to become depressed.
we know that this was not the case when he mentioned that it wasn't because he stopped dueling.

 

I never even claimed that I made a good Jaden. And I don't think that I do either. And having self-loathing is typical of people with Asperger's Syndrome after they get older. And I think I have good reasons for it. I mean I can't help but let it get me down how everybody's better than me at everything...Cut me some slack...

Sure I was good when I played in the Arena at times but what I don't think you understand is the Arena is very different from the real Yugioh game. Doing well in one has nothing to do with doing well in the other. The Arena doesn't count for anything because it's a completely different game.

 

Why has me dumping Jaden as a friend become the primary subject for this thread?

I don't think he would care if Jaden was just depressed, He cares that Jaden talks about it alot, Which may come off as fishing for sympathy...But...Jaden dosen't really have anyone else to tell, So I think that's why he tells us. If Jaden was only depressed, Oda would probably try and help... But since jaden rejected that help, Oda gave up and THAT is truly why he says he has changed! He said so himself, That Jaden was acting like a child, And You know, Child's are stubborn, Which is what he was referring to, Which why you have been Over ruled!

You know you guys might wanna try telling me actual REASONS why I shouldn't be depressed instead of just going all "Stop trying to fish for sympathy! You're a big crybaby! Suck it up and quit moping!" Well that's basically pretty much what you did at least.

Some of Star's words a few pages back did somewhat enlighten me but when I can find at least just one thing that I'm good at THEN I won't be so down on myself anymore. It's said that everybody has a purpose in life and a special talent but I have yet to find out what mine is. But if I agree to not talk about my depression with you guys anymore will that help?

My reasoning is simply "Don't be depressed because if you try you can be good at things, and if you are depressed and think that trying wont help, then you wont really try even if you think you are, and then you will fail and be depressed"
