Did you not see the link Rafael posted of back when Fishborg Blaster wasn't banned? Because two hyper librarians and a level one tuner that can summon itself from the grave if you discard one card seems pretty broken to me, especially since Formula wasn't limited back then.

Hey no banlist this game has had has ever been perfect. They all had their flaws and there were plenty of broken things back then too but they weren't anywhere near as broken as today's format is and you know it. Now quit trolling.

I think what Fred was trying to say was that there is always going to be cheap decks. you're complaining about decks you haven't even faced.. except Six Sams, which don't seem that cheap to me.

 

honestly, I'd rather have my opponent be able to drop me down to a one card starting hand if they go first and draw Tour Guide (unlimited) Pot of Avarice (limited) and Foolish Burial (limited) which leaves them with five cards, and one monster than them having a guaranteed quasar if they draw Deep Sea King (unlimited) and Starblast (unlimited), which leaves them with one quasar, one deep sea king, and ... -3, +2, +1, -1, +3, so eight cards, and grave prep, and then if they have something like Monster Reborn or Avarice, even more combos off of that.

EDIT: you can see in that video they ended with Halberd, Quasar, Scrap Dragon, three cards in hand, one of which is veiler, and set Book of Moon, Decree, and MST. a perfect wind-up loop is less likely than deepsea king + starblast + monster reborn, even before the six draws they get, and ends with less cards in the combined hand/backrow, and ends with Hunter as the only monster, instead of Quasar, Halbard, and Scrap Dragon.

 

Foolish + Phantom of chaos +1 card on hand i think it works too

Do I really need to say this? Fine then I shouldn't have to but I will: It's because I suck at this game and you don't...

I keep trying to tell you guys that I suck and that's why I can't beat decks that aren't even meta but you won't listen...

Sorry but I refuse to play a format this ridiculous. I was already having a hard enough time dealing with all these damn Bottomless Trap Holes that eat my monsters alive every Duel...Sorry but I'm not playing this game anymore. And there's nothing any of you can do or say to get me to change my mind.

Well I still consider a BLS Format with Torrential Tribute and Mirror Force at 2 more broken. Not to mention all this other crap we've got now. Today's game has so much broken and unfair crap it's not even funny...Is like they're trying on purpose to get people to quit playing cuz of all this unfairness...

I'm not gonna lie. Almost all of these recent posts you've made are seriously starting to decrease my opinion of you more and more one post at a time...If you stop trolling my opinion of you should rise back up again.

I'd say your depression has worsened since you first started playing.. and that's probably why you've been thinking more negatively now.
we're not trying to get you to play this game again. Fred and I are only saying there has been decks in the past that were also as "broken" or "cheap" as the decks we have now. probably even more so.

How is your opponent being able to use two TT, Bottomless Trap Hole, and Mirror Force unfair when you have the choice of doing that too?
if you can build a deck that can run those things at two each along with two solemn warnings and solemn judgment and still be able to consistently do whatever your deck is made to do.. then you've built a good deck. that's not being unfair to other players. that's what you call "skill" in this game.
If you look at Rafael's synchro deck, you'll notice he doesn't run that many counters (if any) and instead runs spells/traps that help him get out his ace cards. Halberd Cannon and Shooting Quasar Dragon. If he added all of the cards you were just complaining about into his deck, it would become extremely inconsistent and will probably have a lot more dead hands.

Fishborg Blaster on the other hand cannot be placed into just any deck, unlike the very splashable TT, Mirror Force, and Bottomless Trap Holes we have now which can go into any deck. I'd say it's more unfair knowing that there's this tuner that can SS itself from the grave just by discarding a card (which combos nicely with the new mermail/atlantean archetype), can only be used in WATER decks, and can be used to summon a Halberd Cannon and a Quasar in one turn.. than a few annoying cards that anyone can use and can be used in any deck.

Yes I know we used to have alot of broken decks back then too. I remember how powerful Lightworns and Blackwings and Plant Synchro used to be believe me. But compare those to today's decks. Inzektors can destroy like 4 cards in one turn, And Wind-Ups have a combo to make your opponent lose their entire hand on only the 2nd turn of the Duel. That's just ridiculous.

And I know you guys are probably capable of recovering from 2 Mirror Forces and 2 Torrential Tributes but I'm not. It's a miracle if I'm even able to recover from being hit by one of those...

Zero + bottomless = -2 or -1 to your Opponent.

 

My Gishki's don't even run Gustkraken though, And I still have a hand loop, sorta. If you mean handloop of the player, not opponent.

 

Managed to get an Obelisk from a Battle Pack last night, probably the best legal God Card, though honestly that doesn't say much, especially without being able to build a mass tribute swarm deck. Wish I could buy that Evolzar Dolkka tin...

Really want to build a real Gem-Knight deck. Had lots of fun with mine on Dueling Network. Easily my favorite archetype introduced in this age.
