BTW, does anyone else use YGOpro? I just discovered it yesterday, and it's pretty cool, just wish it were easier to find friends for duels.

 

doesn't it not update automatically? DN updates for you instead of you downloading the newer version just to get the new cards every time.

 

It's kinda slowish, and isn't as versatile as Snipe Hunter, so I don't use it. Not to mention Snipe is a DARK monster, so he helps get out BLS.

I was going to comment on how when you have a chawa and only one other Fabled and a Lightning Vortex.. it's not worth using.
even if I were to run it, I'd never run more than one as it just feels like it's going to be a dead draw most of the time.
it can't kill a set Ryko either, so it's usually not worth using when you already have snipe.
also, it can't be used when your opponent has no monsters on the field.. Pheonix Wing wind Blast is much better as it can hit S/Ts as well as monsters and is more evil.

Edit: oh, apparently you can't activate it if all your opponent's monsters are face-down either.

 

...Because of how good a card it is?

 

It's because with CoTH and Monster Reborn, we ahve two chances at reviving any monster we desire, except for monsters that Special Suumon specfic Types.

 

if the opponent doesn't MST it..
or destroy it with any other effect..
or Royal Decree, etc.
and if they do destroy it or remove it from the field, the only cards useful to SS with it before it gets destroyed are cards like Sangan and stuff that activate when destroyed by a card effect.
I just think that a card that can be stopped that easily shouldn't be limited.

But they're almost always gonna be face-up everytime!

Because the opponent is totally gonna be doing almost nothing but setting monsters and hardly ever summoning anything the entire Duel right?

 

No, because if there's only one or two face-up monsters, you're better off using snipe or catsith.
and it can very well happen if you have a level 5 monster like Ragin out with Formula Synchron and you chain formula to something, nuking the field with BRD and leaving them with no monsters. If you draw Lightning Vortex next turn.. oh look, you can't use it.

 

It can still be negated rather easily: anti-destruction effects (Stardust Dragon), anti-spell effects (Cursed Seal of the Forbidden Spell), anti-just about anything effects (Solemn Judgement), and flip effects (Book of Moon, or Book of Eclipse to set every monster on the field)

 

No, but if my opponent opens by setting one monster, and I open with Monster Reborn, Lightning Vortex, Cerb, Ganashia, Krus, Doppel Warrior, there's not much I can do besides pass, or risk attacking with Ganashia. If I draw Snipe instead of Lightning Vortex, I can do some easy synchs and destroy my opponent's monster, then attack directly.

 

Solemn warning cannot be used on Lightning Vortex. Dark Bribe can though.
