you don't have much faith in yourself..
and your deck is most likely the problem.
it was netdecked.. so it probably doesn't fit you.

also, mask change is as much of a dead draw as polymerization. if you build your deck right, and use your cards right.. mask change can be dangerous.

    Edit: and it's not 3/40, it's 3/40, 3/39, 3/38, 3/37, 3/36, and 3/35 counting the card you draw for your turn.

Vapor and Goka aren't that good.. but Dian and Acid are stupid good.. Acid is a harpy's feather duster on summon, combo'd with zero who's a raigeki when he leaves, and one mask change destroys the opponent's entire field. Dian is pretty strong, and can destroy a monster then SS stratos from the deck for an easy +2[DOUBLEPOST=1347074159][/DOUBLEPOST]
less, it only needs one monster.

yes, but it's of a specific attribute.
unless you draw a monster that's earth, fire, or water attribute, it's dead. although that's not likely to happen if you build your deck correctly.

Edit: actually.. it is less dead than poly...
I was only counting main deck monsters >.>

Do you use YGOpro? Cause I made a deck on that.

But it looks like nobody uses it...

Oh for fuсk's sake people. This is fuсking ridiculous.

Malefics and and Masked Heroes are both bad because they're both impractical and situational decks that will only work if they draw exactly right. And the summoning conditions for their boss monsters are slow and impractical. Sound familiar? IT'S THE SAME PROBLEM AS HOPELESS DRAGONS.

But why the hell am I even saying this? Nobody ever listens to me anyway...I bet even if you guys talked to someone at your locals and they laughed in your face for thinking this way and saying this stuff and tried to tell you what decks were good and which ones weren't you'd still go off on them and tell them they're wrong just like you do me and you wouldn't even care that they actually play the meta and know what they're talking about...[DOUBLEPOST=1347114476][/DOUBLEPOST]
Did you even read everything I said?

And this is coming from a guy who's used E-Heroes ever since he first started playing. So I know what I'm talking about. I know how lucksacky and inconsistent they are. If they can't draw and use their spell cards or if someone shuts down their spell cards they're toast.

I'd like to know what the source of your knowledge is.. because it doesn't seem like you've ever even been to one of those "locals" as you call them. or even played the meta yourself.. and yet you talk like you have.
I have faced someone on DN who has claimed to have won at their locals with his/her malefic deck.. it uses Necro Valley and anti-meta cards IIRC..
and there was this other guy who said he used his Masked Heroes to also duel at his locals too.[DOUBLEPOST=1347115710][/DOUBLEPOST]
No. they are not toast even when their spells get shut down. although people don't usually use decks that do that.. you can just destroy whatever is causing that to happen either with heavy storm or stratos.
there are cards that improve deck consistency now, with Cardcar D, pot of duality, shard of greed, etc.. not to mention you have E - emergency call and reinforcement of the army to search out stratos.
also, masked heroes aren't lucksacky at all if you build your deck correctly.

I think you're thinking too much of a deck that only uses masked HEROs. Miracle Fusion is great, and in the quickly built masked heroes deck I made it's run at three in addition to mask change, I've got Bubbleman and Ocean (Who I'm not really convinced is useful, but..) who make easy Zeros and Acids, and if you have Mask Change, it's almost never wasted, as just one Water or Earth HERO can make Acid or Dian respectively, and it's quick-play so you can do it in the battle phase. Draw Miracle Fusion and Mask Change? If you have a monster you can use for mask change you can do that, then use it as a material for Miracle, if not you can Miracle Fusion summon a target for Mask Change. They have great synergy, especially with miracle for zero, change for acid to nuke their entire field if they can't negate.

That being said, I understand the issues you're having with consistency, now that I've made a Masked HERO deck and got hands like "Solemn Warning, Monster Reborn, Miracle Fusion, Heavy Storm, 2x Mask Change" but I think by adding cards like Duality and Cardcar-D, and Shard of Greed, you can be decently consistent.

Also, things you can do with Mask Change itself, if you summon, say, Absolute Zero, and they use BTH, you can dodge it with mask change. You summon bubbleman, they use chain disappearance, instead of losing every bubbleman in your deck, you can mask change out for Acid. Your WATER HERO walks into a mirror force when they have 1000 LP left? you can change for Vapor and attack for game.

He's going to say one of three things, Or all three:
    1)He's not that lucky.
    2)You must be lucky.
3)They're bad [Insert mildly offensive thing] Never listen [Insert one-way logic] And that's why they're bad.

It's because I've talked to people who have you idiot...
See this is what I meant. I know you aren't this stupid...You're clearly just trying to piss me off with a post like this...

You know damn well just as I do that Hero Decks rely on Spell Cards and are screwed without them. You saw what happened to me in that last Duel because of what that guy did to me. He was gonna spring Anti-Spell Fragrance on me next turn with Dark Simorgh. Plus I was Dueling Red one time on DN. And he Eradicator Epidemic Virused my spells and well I was toast after that. I had nothing else but monsters in my hand so I had to just watch helplessly as he swarmed the field and I got the living crap beaten out of me.

You know what? Forget it. Just forget it. None of you ever listen to reason anyway so I'm stopping this argument right now.

@Brooklyn: I'm sorry, I wanted to be polite about this and not insult you but you're just pissing me off way too much...[DOUBLEPOST=1347123656][/DOUBLEPOST]
I love Heroes. And I think Masked Heroes look really fun but after the kind of luck I had in those last 2 Duels I don't dare try Masked Heroes. With my kind of luck I'll only draw Mask Change when I need it like 2/10 of the time...

But if you actually know of way to use Masked Heroes consistently I'd love to hear it and see the build. With my kind of luck I know whoever I'm Dueling is just gonna pop my Shard of Greed with an MST before I can use it...

*sighs at both sides of this debate*
    Silence all of you...
@Fred/Brook You're not going to convince him by continuing this debate, so just let it drop...
@Jaden I think you're looking for trolling where there is none... they're trying to tell you their opinions/ideas on a deck type, not just trying to piss you off...

There's no way he could've said something as ridiculous as what he said in that last post without it being a troll post...

While it's true that heros get smashed if their spells get shut down, they're not completely doomed immediately. Most hero decks I've seen run a lot of backrow, meaning trap-heavy as well, so it's all really what you get that duel.

Overall, I'd say mask change would be more of an add-on to bubble beat than it's own deck, at least to be run consistently, as long as you have extra deck space for the Acids, as they're easily the most useful of them.

in a deck where you'd need two cards.. either a hanzo/anti-spell fragrance or a transformation jutsu/anti-spell fragrance.. you have a higher chance of drawing one bottomless trap hole or solemn warning or judgment, etc.. to stop the lockdown from happening. then you're not screwed.

The Viruses and simorgh fragrance lockdown screws a lot of decks over, not just your's. they aren't impossible to counter though.

My masked heroes don't run shard of greed for that reason. although it is a good card to have.. playing it is just risky.

imagine your opponent has one MST, and one summon-able monster. you have Shard of Greed with one counter, and a face-down BTH. If your opponent decides to MST Shard, you both lose one card, net even, they summon the monster, you hit it with BTH, advantage doesn't change. If they decide to MST your potentially worthless face-down, they summon their monster fine, then next turn you draw two off of shard. In one case it doesn't matter what card you had there, as it got hit by MST, in the other it's a +1.

    I know. it's just that..
well, I guess there isn't really much to worry about..
but I still think it's risky.

Edit: actually.. now that I think about it, nvm.
