    ~Standby Phase~

    Nothing

    ~Main Phase 1~

First I activate Giant Trunade, this card forces your Spell/Trap cards to be returned to your hand!

As though I didn't see that coming! I activate Counter Trap: Rebound!
This negates any card that can bounce, like your Trunade, and now, you have to discard 1 card! Don't try a Dark World or Fabled, it's pointless!
Now, thanks to Bountiful Artemis, I can draw 1 card for each Counter Trap I activate like this one! (Unless you have negation, Hand: 1)
    Continue.

I send Amarylease to my Graveyard!

    Now I'll activate Heavy Storm!

    Any Chains?

Another "I saw that coming" card, I have another counter trap: THIRO!
This Negates your [only] other mass Spell/Trap remover, but this time, it's banished, gone from the game!
Bountiful Artemis kicks in again! (Hand: 2)
    Continue.

OOC: Did I say customs only if they support the archetype?

this is the problem right here with non-random. On the other hand, random with customs looks cool, so if that keeps being a thing that happens, I may finish my Chaotic and Entropic cards, and come back for some duels.

Anyone who's good can make a turn one field that the other player can't beat. Now I'm inclined to think that a perfect back-row can win even without any monsters. Any traps left can lock two traps each, destroy a full back row, or remove one or two monsters, any attempts at mass trap removal can be beaten at a plus one by Rebound or Starlight, and any one for one trap removal can be countered with Hero Medal, Jar of Greed, or if the opponent has something on the field, MST or Compulsory. Anything in the hand can be an effect veiler to stop monster plays.

Great to have you back man. I was soon going to go on DN and plead with you to come back. I would love to see some more of your Fire Emblem customs.

You might wanna redo those other ones you made. I found some much better pictures for you to use for them now:

    And for Seth:

    Gilliam:

Couldn't get a good pic for Franz but anyway I think you should do Ephraim and possessed Prince Lyon as well. They were important characters.

I'm not definitely back. The idea of random customs is just interesting, and seeing it actually work out in a duel is awesome.
I planned to do all of Sacred Stones's playable characters, plus maybe some of the villains, and to ensure consistent art, I was just going to use shots of the character sprites for everyone. Now I'm worried about not making everyone unique, and the shear number of cards needed to have promotions for everyone. They would definitely never work in random the way I'm building them.

Yeah they'd definitely be too situational to work well in random. I wouldn't care about that if I were you though. Trying to make customs work in random is more trouble than it's worth.[DOUBLEPOST=1348785462][/DOUBLEPOST]
Aren't you forgetting about Dodger Dragon?

Yes, I was, but even with dodger, Starlight is still fine, so you can't use Heavy, you use Trunade; waboku, jar, legacy, acumulatedx2 means I start next turn with eight cards, and you're down to four cards, no normal. That's plus four in my favor if you discount Dodger. You may be able to recover from there, but any draw techniques you have, I could've used turn one to gain an equal number of cards to face you with. Anything based on the grave can be countered with crows, any monster moves can be countered with veilers. Any special summons can be effectively countered with C.

Edit: I shouldn't be posting like this. never mind.

A good player knows how to prepare for that. Non-random is solely about calculation and outwitting your opponent.

EDIT: It's true though that the arena is very different from the real game. Doing well in one has nothing to do with doing well in the other. I can definitely tell you that it's perfectly possible to suck in the real game and own in the arena. Right now I suck in the real game but it would still be very easy for me to beat someone in the arena.
