You know, sometimes I hate the idiots in this world. Homosexuality is not morally wrong! To quote one of Keyblade Spirit's replies to my Sexual Preference thread: Source: Hope Not Hate Published: 11/12/2012
Uganda is a hellhole. So, eh, I'm not surprised. The Ugandan government has no respect for human lives, why should they respect the rights of homosexuals?
What I read is that Catholic associations asked her to pass that law, "as a Christmas gift", which she accepted to do. It' s the ha, happiest criiiime of the year. Look at all the ****s they give.
You know, I was just asking myself what the one place on this planet was I wouldn't visit no matter how much anyone offered to pay me . . . found it. That's ridiculous, I can't even stand the law's opposing gay marriage. Though here we have one outlawing homosexuality entirely, that's disgusting. If I could make my words turn into daggers i'd definitely have a chat with the Uganda government. And the world turns yet again, revealing another hole in which the wicked may lay.
Oh, and I forgot to mention, if (or rather when I guess) that law is passed then not denouncing a homosexual = 3 years jail time.
I don't pay attention to most things that go on in the world. But I have heard about the violence. I'm just saying this is pretty bad. Wow, that's just terrible.
While I do agree with both of the posts Ben / Rainshine / Psychedelic has made in this thread, this happening really makes me sick, and while Uganda has been . . . a hellhole of really shitty morals, I'm really sick of people in the world making out that " If you're anything but straight, you deserve to go to hell / to be punished / to die / to be tortured. " I'm mean, not only is it incredibly immature, but it's cruel and unusual. This nonsense that they've got going on about " aggravated homosexuality " and " offensive homosexuality " is crap, too. Why would you split it like that, and give severe punishments for them. Life in prison? The death penalty? Talk about a tough crowd. And this thing about it being a " Christmas present ", that's just downright disgusting, and I hope that they see the error of their ways sooner than later.
On a report I saw about this vile bill being passed they mentioned the fact that even if members of the LGBT community leave Uganda to find a place in the world where they won't be prosecuted if they're "reported" as such the government will try to get them extradited back to Uganda to face punishment. I don't know how true that is, but if it is I can't imagine too many countries co-operating.
Are they serious?! If you don't like gays, just leave them alone. It's not like they're going to kill you back. But with this law, I think there might be a Civil War over the LGBT community in Uganda. This is going to suck. T_T
They' ve been brainwashed into thinking homosexuals are trying to "recruit" their kids. I' ve never seen any proof of that, surprisingly, but they claim they do have some. I' m not sure Ugandans care about proof anyway, this is what you get when people have been encouraged to take things on faith and barely educated about logic. They' ll believe any claim, no mater how moronic, as long as it comes out of a priest' s mouth. They actually got some support in the US, mind you.
