Undefined Ending: Earths last days

Kaia smiled as she watched but it only occured to her then she was weaponless. She had brought no weapons with her when Joshua took her as it was the middle of the night and she had used the water as her weapon. Then she had left the water behind willingly to follow Mya, she only hoped she was right to trust Mya.

 

Well, here we are. She led her to an underground shelter approximatly the size of a house. It contained a bathroom, a bedroom, kitchen, and living room. It's not much, but it'll keep us alive and safe for a while.

 

Kaia looked around in suprise, "It's actually quite nice down here" Her face lit up when she saw the bathroom, she wasn't as defenseless as she had thought.

 

She laughed. This place was used as a storage years ago. Now, it was forgotten and I found it. I'll make some food while you settle in. She headed for the kitchen.

 

Kaia grinned, found the nearest comfy seat and collapsed onto it. "You did it up really nice. So, do you have a phone or anything? I really need to contact my base"

 

She shook her head. Unfortunatly, no. This place doesn't have a phone or any type of wireless conection. She sat down next to her. So you can turn water into ice?

 

"Yeah, I can control water and ice. What about you, can you do anything?" Kaia smiled at her, it felt good to relax. She could worry about contacting the others in a bit.

 

She snapped her fingers and the room got brighter. I can control and manipulate light. She leaned back.

 

"Wow, that's impressive. So, how come you're here alone? Don't you have a base with more people?" Kaia asked, now curious.

 

She looked at the floor. Yea I do, but they were wiped out by a bombing run. Besides, the last help I got was being turned into a tree.

 

"Wait, I thought I recognised you from somewhere, you were that girl. Um, yeah, sorry about that. He's actually my enemy who dumped me in all this mess but well, it's a long story" Kaia rubbed the back of her neck.

 

She shrugged. In war, you have to make sacrafices to win in any way. She poked the couch. Believe me, trusting people in wartime is probably the most dangerous thing to do.

 

Kaia sighed, "I know and I still trust people way too easily. I think it's cos I'm normally an optimist, I like to see the good in people."

 

She pulled out one of her guns and examined it. There's nothing wrong in that. It's just that corruption takes people over easier in wartime. Everyone wants to be on the winning side.

 

Kaia sighed, "I guess you're right. I hate this war, but how else can we stand up to the military?"

 

I suppose. She sighed and closed her eyes. What if this war never happened? Everyone would be living happily. Children on the streets playing. Shopping centers being crowded.

 

"Yeah, I wish. Although, I don't even remember what it was like before this silly war, I can't remember much at all" Kaia shook her head regretfully.

 

Yea I suppose. The pot on the stove began to bubble. Be right back. Our dinner is ready. She got up and headed over to the kitchen.

 

Kaia smiled and watched her go.
