[UPDATED WEEKLY] Monster of the Week

Malum had decided what to do, still hidden by the shadows he siliently ran along the rooftops, keeping out of the monsters sight.

 

Malum saw the beast, and Starrk, if he wanted to take it down, he'd have to do it now. Running and Jumping from the roof, he dived through the air with tremendus speed, and slashed his sword right accrossed the same horn that Starrk had hit at.

 

The two attacks had barely cut The Beast's horn, "A foolish attempt. If you truly wish for me to challenge you with a blade of my own, so be it", he uttered as he reached into what clothing he had on and drew out a knife that appeared to be made of the same bone that his horns where. It was the knife he had carved for his master from his own bones but had yet to give it to him.

 

Malum hit the ground and rolled, then quickly jumped to his feet, completly unharmed, he pointed his sword at the beast, "I challenge you to a sword dule, no magic, no zombies, only your blade and mine," he said.

 

The Beast faced the new challenger, "I accept your terms", he said with the knife in his right hand. He was confident he could win with his superior strength, defence and the weapon made of his own almost indestructible bones.

 

Malum nodded solomly, "I know what I'm doing, so stay out of it Starrk," he said, seeing the look on his face.

 

Xengla now neared the battleground. She stopped a distance away. It looks like they're about to duel. Should I still try my idea, or not? Well...I guess I better just wait. She put the bucket down and continued to attack nearby zombies. A quarter of the water from the bucket had splashed out on the way. There's no way, Xengla will allow any more to go to waste.

 

The Beast was prepared to finish his battle with the humans and inhuman when he noticed it was starting to get dark. A sign that his master will be able to walk the streets once again and he had already fulfilled his role in the day. An army of zombies. "We will have to fight another time", he said as a portal opened behind him and he vanished inside of it before it closed.

ROUND 5 END

I let it go for a day longer since I missed most of the last few days since I had things to do. Either way the escape of The Beast will play well for a sort of chain of villains I'm working on so we'll have a slight plot or two involved with the random monsters for your entertainment xD

I'll update with information and start on Monday again.

Location: Sea front (near the dock area from last round)

ROUND 6 START

In the sea, not far from the docks where The Beast had previously rampaged, a creature surfaced from the deep depths. Instantly, it began spraying a jet stream of water into nearby buildings, crushing people under the pressure of water and building debris.

 

OOC: Hmmm... you're doing a plot with the monsters, right? So I'll do a plot with my characters following the monsters!
BIC: Kouri saw the monster shooting water, she had just come from the harbor where there were signs that her 'brother', Malum, had been there, but he had been long gone, now she was at the waterfront, where the hotel she'd been staying in just got destroyed. "@$%! monster," she muttered.

 

OOC: Ahaha the Unagi. xD

IC:
Akane, who had been recovering from the events with Undergrowth, was quietly fishing on the docks. She heard a rumble, and then seconds later saw a huge stream of water fly by, narrowly missing her and slamming into a nearby building. Cursing, she looked up and saw a large snake-like creature.
"Alright snake, let's see how you'll fair against a wolf," Akane muttered, and dove off the dock. When she resurfaced she was in her wolf form, able to stand in the water as she stared down the monster, daring it to attack again.

 

The Unagi dived at Akane in her wolf form. It's teeth where it's weapon of choice as the serpent attempted to bite it's equally sized foe. The interuption of the giant wolf was a challenge and a threat to the Unagi.

 

Kouri ran out towards the water, following the serpent. When she reached the water, she used her powers to freeze a path for her to ice skate on, and moved closer to the clashing titans.

 

Akane roared at the snake. "Pathetic monster," she growled as she sidestepped, easily avoiding the serpent. As it's long body went by her, Akane snapped at the beast, sinking her teeth into it's middle, shaking it hard several times as if it were prey, then threw it, sending it flying into deeper water. Though it was underwater, it was still trackable by the stream of blood coming from the wound she gave it.

 

The Unagi rushed about quickly under the water. The blood pouring from it's back turned the water above it red and soon the area was completely bloodied water. It dived out from the water attempting to bite Akane and then back under the water in an arch shape manoeuvre.

 

Kouri ice skated to next to Arkane, "I have an idea about how to defeat this thing!" she yelled upwards to Arkane's massive wolf head, "just keep it in place the next time it attacks you!"

 

OOC: It's Akane. >>

IC:
Akane growled. "That's easier said than done, I'd rather not have serpent teeth in my leg or be drowned," she thundered, as she avoided another attack from the monster and swiped at it with her paw, knocking it to the side again as it resurfaced.

 

The Unagi burst it's head out from under the water and sprayed it's jet stream from behind Kouri. At the speed and pressure it was fired at, it would be almost impossible to dodge unless aware of the Unagi and could see it's movements, which the ice powered girl was not able to.

 

Xengla had been sitting on the rooftop of a nearby building watching the fight. "Ooh.....man, that girl got a direct hit. Besides that, I think the giant wolf has it under control." she said to herself. Still.....possibly to just stun it... Xengla charged up a fireball and then threw it at the Unagi, aiming for the head. Could it...possibly hit me from here?....yeah, it could. I better move. With that, Xengla began to clamber down from the roof and away from the building.

OOC- I love this monster choice.
