Van Helsing

"Nothing." Hannah replied hastily. "At least... nothing that would help you."

Jinx, this whole time, had been laughing and thinking. "Can you keep a secret? How about next year?" she sang uner her breah, more to herself than to the others. "Well, you know, there is actully a vampire I do know about." she said, finally a little calmer. "I thinkk she lives around here." Though she sounded more sober, she was as tipsy as ever and meant to give him the run around by telling him about herself as though she was someone else. She looked at him cooly, "I think it would help you track her down." a giggle escaped her and she blinked rapidly to stop from falling out of her chair.

 

Van Helsing rose from his seat immediately, looking down at the young girl, who seemed to have passed out.

"Jinx," Elizabeth said once or twice, kneeling next to the girl and tapping her cheek. "Jinx, get up!"

Just then a horrible, blood-curdling howl crushed the air in around their ears. The few people and employees in the bar screamed and ran for cover, holding their hands over their ears as they went. Elizabeth looked back up at Van Helsing, the same thought in both their eyes (shadowed or hooded) as Jinx lay on the floor, dreaming of... whatever: the werewolves were back, and revenge for their slain family member was fresh in their blood.

 

Hannah hurried Jinx to her room and then ran outside to join Van Helsing. Though she knew the possible consequences of engaging with a werewolf, she was ready to rid the village of these pests. "Got a plan?" She murmured to Van Helsing.

 

Jinx had passed out compeletly just as Hannah left the room and her glamor faded, revealing all her vampire features.

 

" A plan?" Van Helsing replied incredulously, looking around the now-empty for any sign of any of the werewolves. He had no idea from which direction the howl had come from, but he knew it was close and so did the people: there was not a soul in sight but him and Elizabeth.

"I'd prefer you to go inside," he said, pulling out his pistol once more, and reaching into his pocket to open a leather case full of silver bullets. "But I can see you will not listen to me,as I can see, so there's no use arguing. If you want to die, my conscious is clear."

Jamming the last of the six into the revolver, he clicked the hammer back just as another howl sounded... louder, closer, and deeper this time, and Van Helsing turned his head in the direction of the front gates.

"Do you hear it?" he asked her, and she nodded. "You have no weapon, you know," he added, and she was still silent; he could tell she was listening.

They stood in the middle of the silent courtyard now, the grey, dismal stone buildings rising around them in a circle. The front iron gates, now abandoned of any guards, were where Van Helsing had his eyes. He also jumped when he felt Elizabeth's back pressed against his, so their shoulder blades were almost touching (he being at least a half foot taller than her). He turned his eyes for a split second to see a small dagger in each one of her hands. He was about to say they would do no good when something large, brown, and matted dashed across his field of vision.

Spinning on the spot with Elizabeth still seemingly glued to his back, and fired one shot at the large werewolf that darted around the corner of the nearest builing--- and missed.

"D.ammit," he swore, turning again. "That thing is fast, huge... the father, I assume."

But just then a small but louder growling mass of fur came lunging out of the darkness, tackling Elizabeth with a scream and a cloud of blood.

 

Hannah jabbed the dagger into the werewolf's jaw to prevent a bite. She felt a gash open in her shoulder and hoped it was from the claws and not the teeth; either way, it seared with pain. She kicked the werewolf in the gut and rolled away to stand up. Holding her dagger at the ready and trying to ignore the pain her shoulder, her eyes became more like a vampires to track the werewolf with more ease.

 

Sylis was in his house shinning his gun

 

OOC: Wow. O_O You three have too much free time. -_- I couldn't catch up.

BIC: Exel sighed as he was in town for teh time being looking for a diner to eat in.

 

OOC: when u don't sleep, you have hours to burn! XD

BIC: Jinx woke up and jumped to her feet, making her almost fall down. "oh, bad idea. Hells." she went to the window and saw the werewolfs and the two fighting. "HELLS HELLS HELLS!" she yelled at nothing, pulling her dagger from her skirt and running down to help them, trying to ignore her slight hangover. She was immediatly attacked by the brother of the family. She retaliated by stabbing him in the gut. "Wow, you're only a little mad right?" she muttered, jumping back from his bitting jaws.

 

Exel saw a fight between werewolves. He watched them and decided to stay out of their way and then shifted forms into a wolf to walk away unnoticed.

 

Hannah missed a next attack from the werewolf by dodging to her left. She ran her dagger along the side of the werewolf's arm as she avoided its bite. Dammit... I've got to stay further away from those teeth. I've already gotten hit, and another injury will do me no good. Especially one from its teeth.

 

Sylis looked out his window and saw the wolf fighting

Sylis loaded his gun with silver bullets put his coat on and walked outside

 

"Good God, I told her to stay inside!" Van Helsing said to himself, darting after Elizabeth as she tumbled away, leaving a dark trail behind her int he leaves on the floor.

Not really caring too much if he got a clear shot or not, he raised the gun once more, cocked it, and aimed at the werewolf, probably the father, that had another close bite at Elizabeth's neck. The bullet went through the left side of werewolf's chest, a splatter of blood arching across the ground and Elizabeth's face. The werewolf fell with a screeching howl, but Van Helsing knew he wasn't dead yet. Walking over to where Elizabeth lay on the ground, he held out a hand to help her up.

"Alive, still?" he asked with a melancholy grin, cocking the gun once more behind his back as she stood. She nodded, shaking slightly.

Without warning, he spun the gun on the werewolf at his foot and fired the next silver bullet into his heart. His howling stopped and he fell limp.

He crossed himself silently, also wiping the sweat from his brow and saying a prayer in Latin. It was then that they heard the commotion in the room where they had left Jinx... her cires as well as the werewolves.

"Hurry!" Van Helsing said, helping Elizabeth stumble back toward the inn.

 

Jinx stabbed the werewolf repeatidly in the chest until he jumped on at her and pinned her to the ground, trying to bite her face. She screamed and used her full strength to throw him into the wall. Scrambling to her feet she rushed at him and rammed the dagger deep into his chest again.

OOC: okay, we all g2g now. they'll be back in about 2 weeks and i'll be back in about 4. Cya guys later!

BIC: Exel watched them fight in the shadow as the form of the wolf and then layed down.

 

Sylis pointed his gun at the werewolfs waiting for the right moment to shoot both with one bullet

Exel watched Sylis aim and yawned as he then stood up and then walk away like a normal dog.
