BIC: "Nothing in particular, actually," Van Helsing replied. "But I'm glad that, if I ever have a question, you can answer it for me."

BIC: "Sure thing, I'd rather inform you than hate you." Jinx smiled and hopped up on the window sill again.

 

"Going somewhere?" Van Helsing asked, his eyes following her, keeping his voice low so as not to disturb Edward. He could still see the candles lit in the bathroom dimly where Hannah was.

 

"No... just watching the time change." Jinx answered also keeping her voice low while opening the window and looking out as the sun started to rise.

 

"How long till dawn?" Van Helsing asked. "We will probably leave then."

 

"Hm, I don't know..." Jinx answered, vaguely, watching the sun rise with a far away look on her face. "The sun is coming up now, so I guess you should wake up Edward if you want to go."

 

"Let him rest for now," Van Helsing said, looking at Edward now. "He waited up all night till you and Hannah got back... and, speaking of Hannah," he added, glancing at the bathroom door. "Would you be so kind as to see what she's up to?"

 

Jinx nodded and tore her gaze from the sun. "Why not, we've got to talk at some point anyway." After closing the window she jumped down and walked over to the bathroom. "Hey..." she started, looking at Hannah

 

Hannah glance over at Jinx. "Come to give me a lecture?"

 

"No. You don't want to hear what I would have to say if I gave enough of a damn to tell you." Jinx smiled at her. "Van Helsing just wants to know what you're up to... and I don't like the idea of not talking to someone I have to spend a lot of time with."

 

Hannah rolled her eyes. "Well tell him something then. I'm trying to fix the hole in my shirt."

 

"Okay. Good enough for me." Jinx shrugged. "Hope you don't hate me for being mad at you earlier." she added before walking back to Van Helsing and jumping up on the window sill. She just looked at him, knowing eventually he'd ask.

 

Van Helsing frowned when he heard the whispers between Jinx and Hannah. Holes, he wondered. From what, I wonder?

 

Hannah contented herself with putting her hair over her shoulder. It'll have to do until I get a new shirt. She went back into the room and sat on the floor next to Edward's bed, her back against it.

 

'And what did you do last night, Hannah?" Van Helsing asked. "Anything interesting in the dark?"

 

Jinx winced, turning her gaze back to the window. Well, maybe she'll just lie instead of getting mad or something.

 

Hannah leaned her head back. "Nothing interesting." She replied simply, in no mood to make something up.

 

"Nothing involving holes?" Van Helsing asked with a grin.
