We need to do something. Im serious.

Ok, so I've been looking around the forum and its starting to make itself pretty clear. The forum is dying.

Strong words no?

But they hold truth. I've seen all kinds of threads saying "whats with this forum" and "do something for once" as the main underlying issues. Its true, people will get bored for a while, but when a members' only source of "fun" is a troll parading the forums, something has to be wrong. 2 of my friends were banned and it seems they only wanted to have fun. Not that im undermining the authority of the staff, im just saying that to support my above argument.^

Though I wasnt present for whatever troll was around recently, I have to admit to myself that the most fun thats happened to me in a while was trying to see if I could get 200 posts before a staff could. Honestly, we need an event or something!

For once in my kh-vids forum life, I have never been so disinterested with the forum sections. Any of them. Nothing is happening and nothing good seems to come around.

I dont have any ideas of my own that we could do, but I was hoping that some other members could figure things out so that this place could be more enjoyable.

 

It's been a long time since KH2, the people will be back when new releases happens =)

There's not much to about it until then...

 

If you want the forum to stay alive then how about making a contest to see who can find what the forum needs by checking out other forums and seeing what their hype is. And whoever wins gets a certain amount of rep or they become a premium or whatever.

KH forums dies down between KH games. Thats where the billions of things to do in real life come in handy. Or if you're an internet slave, there are a bunch of other forums to visit. Most people here go to other forums that pertain to their interests. I am at about 5 other GFX forums myself.

 

The site will bounce back up once the latest KH games come out. Right now, many are out of school and are finding themselves in front of the computer for no absolute reason. And when having nothing else to do in reality, the virtually life will also be boring . . . a forum will seem definitely be boring, no matter how many interesting threads you'll make. Boredom is boredom, unfortunately. One boredom leaps into another. Best thing you can do, is to go find something else to do for a while, and once you return, the site will seem like the best thing you found in the world of internet.

 

it is true that whenever a new kh game comes out people come on to talk about it but usually, after a while they just give up on the forum and usually noobs try to over rule the threads. i just look around thru the forum and just post over what any posts in something i like.

xD Are you just noticing this now? The forum has been on a dying road for a looooong time. Once KH info picks up, it'll get more active.

Nah. I don't think the games will do much, as people will just stop talking to each other and just go play games. Just be a little patient. The site is just a little slow right now, but just wait until the release. People will come flooding in here non-stop.

True the site is just slow becuase it's summer and everyone is out and about while we're stuck here so they should be returning but you never know maybe if we just have like a online game it will show up on google so when the bored people search for online games they come across this site and decide to join. Just saying.

Whatever game we play we could fill an entire server if people decided to join...

Seems like a good and bad idea at the same time...

 

Getting more people to join won't really get people to start talking and mingling. Mingling is what really says if the site's successful or not. Come on to join the forum, then play some games and leaving won't kill the boredom.

 

not everyone likes to play online games

even though , they should put a card game , like UNO cards

or maybe something like an KHV avatar meeting place, something like gaia

but more KH oriented.

 

but if they just come on for the game we will have so many members, and so many who just get on then the game gets old, after that even more noob ( moogle assistant, no offense) accounts drown into the sea of forgotton memberships. during the summer more kids are outside because they have too, its better whether to, but kh-vids would be a internet haven to rpg lovers, kh fans, and random talkers. but after a while the'll get tired of it. but older members will soon enough get back on.

 

we could all go on gaia or something... WoW... a BIG mmorpg or something...
