My mission: Upgrade my KHDDD preorder to the Mark of Mastery Edition and potentially pick it up early.

My reasoning: Through research that may or may not be faulty, I have learned that Gamestop tends to get their games in about a week before they put them on the shelves so they can inventory them and such. I have, in the past, purchased games and systems outside this particular store's recorded inventory simply because they could write up the record on the spot.

My results: I went there and they had just gotten their shipment of KH3D copies in. However, they have yet to process it all into their inventory, which means I will be unable to pick it up until Sunday. To make up for it, they gave me dibs on the KH3D poster above the 3DS display when they're done using it to advertise. I'm going to call this a success.

    Wish me luck, KHV.

Disliking purchasing games at GameStop is really dumb and egotistical.
Sure, they aren't a very good company, but you're buying a god damn game. And they're everywhere. Buying a game is all they're good for, but it makes me sad when people are obnoxious about it.

I don't see what the problem with is with Gamestop. o:

Granted, I don't know much about the company, but it sure is convenient for someone like me: a person whose parents don't like ordering things from the Internet and wants to buy a nice video game.

I've only been in GameStop two or three times in the US and the customer service was horrible. It amazes me folk like that are allowed jobs.

GameStop is a place for getting a game you know you want, that's all. They're bad, but if you go in, buy a game, and leave, it's fast and easy. And it's a generalization that they're all bad. Commonly true, but not always.

That's odd, because both Gamestops in the mall not too far from my town have always been filled with kind employees that helped me locate what I was looking for...

    Odd indeed.

It varies from store to store. My gamestop I used to go to, the manager remembered my first name and I used to stop in and chat with the people that worked there. The weekday staff was always helpful.

However, when you think about it, the people that are huge gamers are usually the most socially awkward, so plays into it.

it differs from store to store, but gamestop is pretty much a rip-off and for the most part, their customer service is terrible. really, i'd rather shop at cool hole-in-the-walls than gamestop. much friendlier, better atmosphere, arcade cabinets, lots and lots of older games and consoles and special edition stuff and japanese stuff.

But what if there is a common game and a GameStop ten minutes from your house. If you want a game, then it's easier. And faster. And the prices and GameStop are average.

Oh, well there are no stores like that in my town, which sucks. Because the way described it, it sounds pretty cool.

It wasn't fast or easy cause I had the game in my hand but the guy on the till was talking to his friend for about 10 minutes and a massive queue was forming. Another time an employee refused to sell me a game cause they had to keep it for 2 weeks before selling? That's all fine and dandy, but they wasted about 20 minutes of my time trying to find the game, find it, hand it to me and then say I can't have it. Horrible service even if you know what you want.

pretty sure those were just ****** stores. GameStop is a big chain, it differs with each one. For me, if I make sure to keep their mouths shut, it's about ease of access.

I think this situation parallels Verizon.
