Yes, but do this by buying DVDs, merch, etc. But DON'T, I repeat DON'T, use Crunchyroll.

Anything is better than Crunchyroll. Don't throw your money at those greedy bastards.

I'm completely oblivious to this, but what's wrong with Crunchyroll? Not defending it or anything.

I'm with Hayabusa on this one. I don't use Crunchyroll, but what's wrong with them? I thought they were a free site just like all those others out there?

Never understood the hate for the Naruto dub, I personally like the voices.

Also I prefer dubs because I'm usually doing multiple things so I can watch a dub and then switch tabs and still listen but with a sub I have to give it my full attention to ****ing read while I watch.

Though most Subs are better than dubs and the original dialogue is usually much better than the english translations.

    PROS AND CONS EACH WAY

Thank you, I completely forgot to point out the actual dialogue constantly being changed (for the worse) in many English dubs.

But for Naruto, mainly I can't stand THE LEADING TITLE CHARACTER'S VOICE, and that's a really bad thing, since he's supposed to be the center of the story. There are other offenders in the English dub (Sakura, Danzo, Onoki to list a few)

I personally think Naruto's voice fits him just find. Also all those others you listen are fine in my opinion as well. DIFFERING OPINIONS I SUPPOSE.

I haven't seen the Japanese version, so to me the English version is good.

I'm with Plums kind of in terms of what I watch first -- dub or sub.

Out of context, but I'm still saying thank you either way.

I actually don't care if the dialogue is changed. If I'm watching it and it makes sense to me, I'm perfectly fine with it...long as it makes sense that is, and it does for me. For instance, I think if they kept the original words in Bleach from sub to dub, I probably wouldn't have enjoyed it as much. Saying shinigami and stuff in Death Note worked, but I'm not sure it would in Bleach.
And just to add to it, I actually think Sakura's voice is pretty good

    Well, let's see.

They're subbing is often times inaccurate.
They've been known to steal subs from outside fansubbing groups.
You require a $7 a month subscription to watch anime in 480p, 720p, or 1080p.
You need a $7 a month subscription to watch anime on your phone through their app.
COMMERCIALS (although this can easily be avoided by having an adblocker extension on Google Chrome).

They do get their episodes out on time, though. So, I can commend them for that.

Bottom line, though, just torrent your anime, people. It's a fuller, richer experience. And don't forget to seed!

What...the...hell? Are they just a terrible version of Hulu or something? Because that's downright ridiculous.
And I just usually use Animeratio or dubsonline. I never torrent

I'll let someone else explain it, because apparently everything I've been posting lately, nobody wants to agree with.

the quality of dubs is so varied you can't really judge them so generally, so it's kinda pointless to argue about this. there are great dubs, average dubs, and terrible dubs. however, i still prefer subs in most cases.

I don't like Dubs, even though Brazil has some awesome dubs.. yet, whenever you change the language part of the culture changes, for one exemple "japonese people tend to be overacting in real life", If you see people speaking english all ~kawai~ with all the faces and things like that just seems wrong. It is like seeing Nazi not speaking German, other languages normally aren't "so oppresive".. each language has its own flavour that reflects the culture of its people, you miss a lot of that in dubbing.

As for SAO, I liked at first... the second part isn't so good.. but I didn't regret seeing.

I'd say the biggest dub offender is still One Piece, never has a show been more butchered before, by voices and censors. I heard they stopped letting the company do dubs though and had someone else do it later down the line, so it may be better.

Why would you undermine such a great post with that last sentence :C[DOUBLEPOST=1375350679][/DOUBLEPOST]

It actually turned into a REALLY good dub now that Funimation took it from 4Kids.
