Kingdom Hearts What did you think of Sora's english voice in KH1 ?

yah, i played kh2 befor the first one and i thought it was really girly too.

 

lol it was cute but i like the japanese it sounded as in he was at the age of khII the english sounded like he was....what 12?

 

I personally thought that Sora's KH I voice sounded alright.

Better than the Japanese one though.

Go out and find a 14 year old. Then listen to how they talk.

I think it was sorta high pitched for a 14 year old. 14 year olds should have matured their voice by then. I had to get used to him.

At least the voice in KH2 was TONS better.


And about the Jesse Mccartney thing...who cares? The voice fits, that's all the company wanted. They didn't care who exactly did the voice.

 

I thought it was pretty good - cute too. IOno - maybe it was just me? Haha, everyone seems to hate it - I actually like it =p

 

I hated the Japanese one he sounded like he was 20 not 14, then again I just preferred the english dub more espefcially in KH2. Quinton Flynn rocked.

 

I personally liked his voice. It fit very well to Sora's character. I don't think it was too childish, I mean, Sora's only 14 in the first Kingdom Hearts. Wasn't Haley Joel 14 when he did the voice-over for KH? I think he was. I've heard a lot 14-year-olds sounding pretty much like that. Okay, that's about all. I think Haley Joel did a great job. Again, just my opinion!

Also, almost all of voice actors were good! I'm not going to list those who weren't...

Uh...gee...Sora's voice...hmm...well...I absolutely DESPISE Sora so anything I say about his voice will come out badly. He sounded like a child and it would've been better if he stayed mute. Agreed.

The problem with Sora's voice in KH is that it sounded like he was 10 or 11 not 14. I'm only 13(about to be 14) and my voice is much older sounding.

Otherwise, I had no problem with it. It actually kinda fits when you get used to it.

PS: The Japanese voice is 1000 time more fitting than the English voice. (Just had to include that).

No joke, I thought Sora was a chick at first...then I played and I screamed...with laughter.
I was like:
"Dude, I'm sorry! I'm sorry you sound, look and EVERYTHING like a girl. Sucka."

 

I was amazed at how his voice was so high. O_O I was thinking..."He's IS 14...right?" KH2 voice is much more fitting.

 

His voice was high in the first one, but it surprised me no more than Axel's voice in KH2. Seriously, they could have gotten a better voice for him, as good as it turned out. I mean, I could see the dude from Byrds of Paradise as Demyx, or the terrorist from 24 as Xaldin even, but Quinton Flynn for Axel? It was iffy.

Sora's voice was alright, if a little stereotypical. Riku's was just right, though. I almost exploded when Billy Zane voiced Ansem. That particular choice was singularly amazing. Yeah, I didn't mind, though the change between 1 and 2 could have been avoided if they had tried, I think.

Ah, well.

When did Sora have an English voice?

 

Well, Haley Joel Osment voices Sora in both Kingdom Hearts games. And it did take SOME time to make it so he was probably pretty young in the first one.

The voicing wasn't bad, but it didn't suit his age.
