Kingdom Hearts What did you think of Sora's english voice in KH1 ?

I didn't like it very much in KH, I though it sounded much better in KH2. I don't know why, I just like the way it sounds better. He sounded too young in KH.

 

I prefer the voice in the second game, it sounds so weird!!

Anyone have a link to clips of the japanese voice?

 

I don't have a problem with Sora's voice in Kh. I don't really think its high pitched either. Although I DO prefer his voice in Kh2.

 

i liked it, i thought it fit him very well....

 

To me the english voices in the first game sounded like crapola. I havent gotten the second one, but I saw the clips from this site and the english voices were also crapola. It makes him sound like a turd. To me, playing a game thats voices have been altered is playing a pale imitation of the original.

It seems there's no patterns between what people think about the voice actors you either love them or hate them.

I thought HJO as Sora was a little funny at first but then I thought, actually it suits him.

Riku's voice? Sexy!!!

Jmac as Roxas was good too. I thought it really fitted the character. Something so dainty and innocent about that voice. Made me feel sorry for the poor thing. Ooo does this mean one day we'll here Roxas sing? ^^ I hope so!

Kairi's voice - OK but unexpected. Thought it would be different.

Namine - really flowery but totally right for Namz.

 

I liked Sora's voice in the first one. His voice hadn't changed yet which showed how innocent he was in the first game. His voice deepens as he and the game mature, which I guess can be considered symbolism for how much growth he has to go through throughout the series.

 

I think it was pretty good for him, I mean isn't he spost to be a little childish, he maybe 14 but come on, he acts like a 8 year old at the start of the game.

 

In KH1, He sounded as though he was acting retarted all the time... but... Since I'm his fangirl, I'm gonna ramble on about how cute he is.*rambles*

 

I thought Sora's voice was done very well in KH1, especially considering HJO was 13 when he did it. HJO has a lot of talent. I can't blame HJO for the script so I'll say it was fine. I also liked KH2 and how Sora's voice matured. I thought most of the voices in KH1 were pretty good and can't think of anyone's voice who irritated me or sounded out of place...except Kairi's to some degree. In KH2 I had more problems with some people's voices (mainly POTC) but not Sora's, Riku's or Kairi's. Roxas's voice was okay and Namine's was fine too.

 

imo the voices in KH are fine. Except I didn't like Aerith's voice. Cause you usually can't hear dead people...

 

Well, if thinking of the first game it was after all, it was done greatly. I had no problem with the voice, like few of my friends have, that he sounded too childlish. I didn't think it like that, I think'd that he had a good voice, to be 14.

I think Sora's voice sounded better in English - in the japanese version - he sounded younger - not like he was 14 - more like 10

 

Hmmm . . . alot of peoples seem to think that Sora's voice was okay .

But when I first saw Sora I thought his voice would be much deeper. ^ ^

I'm as old as him now , I've heard plenty of 14 year-old boy's voices , only one was as high as his . ^ ^

 

I have to agree, Aerith's voice in KH2 was awful. I really did not like the sound of it. It's sad when I have to admit Mandy Moore did a better job. Also, Elizabeth's voice and Jack's voices were off at times.

Sora's voice was a bit higher, but it didn't bug me. I thought in KH1 Riku's voice was a bit lower than it should be but still thought it was great.

 

lol I forgot about Jack and Elizabeth. Oh Jack's voice was awful. Worst attept at Jack's voice ever. I saw this guy in Florida dressed up as him. At least he didn't try the accent so it was fine cause I mean none is better than a crappy one.

 

I think his voice was perfectly fine. Haley Joel Osment (i think that's how u spell his name) did a good job!

 

Sora's voice sounded just right according to his age

 

He was flippin' thirteen and he sounded like a ten year old. >> his voice could've at least been cracking or something...
