What do you consider intelligent?

I think an intelligent person is someone that know how to take the right decisions in a situation, even if it's good or bad and looking at the consequences they could bring. People that can think rationally at most of the time. A lot of people think students with excellents grades are intelligent just because of that. No, they're wrong, they could be intelligent but not because of their grades. For example, if some guy that have good grades let others to copy his homework because they say they're too lazy to do it. This person isn't intelligent enough. Intelligent people don't let others to take adventage of them. Also, if you ask someone a question and he/she can answer it with a reasonable answer, not just yes, no or I don't know, that's an intelligent person too.

 

Being smart is knowing things.

Being intelligent is knowing how you know things.

Get what I mean?

 

I think being intelligent means that you can make the most of what you're given. That you can grasp concepts well and make sensible logic based off the information you have.

Being smart is having knowledge and being intelligent is what you do with that knowledge. Frankly, you can know all the facts of the world, but they'd be useless if you couldn't put two and two together.

For me, Being Intelligent means you can reach up to your limits and live them out. It doesn't really matter If you're not smarter then somebody, It really matters on what YOU can do and what YOU think.

 

This is a very good question actually.

To me, its knowing what your strenghts and weaknesses are, and when to stop. Being aware of what your doing to others, and how it effects other people and to just have an understanding of the world. I think thats what true intelligences is .
