What do you find attractive?

Basically, I'm interested in what people find attractive in others. What makes an attractive person?
Now, I know that people find different things attractive like someone could really like freckles and not find people with glasses attractive, but another could really like people with glasses and not be attracted to freckles. So don't judge other people basically.

There are also some things that I want to find out if there are any preferences to and some other things that I'm just curious about like are there any preferred hair colours, eye colour, style choices, names, mannerisms? Also, when you were younger, what did you see as ideal?

For me, I tend to find the following things attractive:

• Blue eyes
• Brown eyes
• A good sense of humour
• Able to laugh at their mistakes/own embarrassment
• Caring
• Blond hair
• Brown hair
• Black hair
• Dyed red hair
• Glasses
• Slim (but not really skinny or too muscular)
• A nice smile/laugh

And the following unattractive:

• Smoking
• Selfishness
• Forceful
• Doesn't find the same things interesting
• Cares more about what their friends think
• Trying to change others
• Not able to hold a conversation
• Assumes they're the best thing ever
• Lying
• Makes fun of my interests.

Also, I would be a bit wary of people with the same name as my ex-stepfather, my brother or my actual father since I associate those names with those people, but I would also have second thoughts about somebody with an unusual (perhaps old-fashioned) name.
When I was growing up, my ideal was a man with blond hair, brown eyes who just wore jeans and a t-shirt and liked good music.

Just wondering what you guys think/like.

 

In no particular order, I find these things to be very attractive in a girl.

• Won't leave me heartbroken.
• Shares some interests with me, but not all.
• Because of a past crush, pale yellow-green eyes.
• Light brown hair for the same reason.
• Doesn't obsess over her appearence.
• T-Shirt+Jeans. Skirts are for sissies, and I like my women like Godot likes his coffee: Strong.
• Must be interesting.
• Must not be normal.

 

What is "normal"?

 

Well, I can't say that I could fit my interests of attractiveness easily into catergories but here we go...

Attractive:
- Dark skin (browns and light browns, mainly, not tanned but naturally that colour)
- Pale skin
- Any hair colour (except bleach blonde)
- Blue eyes on a dark skinned person (just melts me away with emotions of affection and fascination, love it)
- Long Hair
- Glasses, freckles, birth marks, scars, etc (Weird and wonderful fetishes)
- Smart and Funny
- Caring and Strong willed
- Someone who i can talk to when I need to
- Someone to let me have my own space when I need it
- Flirty and playful

Unattractive:
- Fake tan
- Over use of make up
- Tight/revealing clothing (mainly stuff that says, trying too hard)
- Ditziness
- Unintelligent talk
- Lover of celeb culture
- Tells me what to do with my life
- Demanding and money grabbing
- Heavy drinker
- Smoker
- Drug user (Marijuanna is ok if occasional)
- Extreme laziness

I will say I'm a regular xenophile, I love people of foreign origin. I am attracted to many different ethnicities more so then Caucasians, especially with women of Pakistani, Indian, etc family origins. Something about the common trait of intelligent and beautiful women has evoked many an attraction from me. Don't know why, but it does.

Strangely, I seem to be attracted to women of petite build and height. So maybe chalk me down for lolis too?

To be honest though, at the end of it the more I talk to someone and get on with them and can talk to them, the more attractive they can become. If we click and get on well, those dislikes might be accepted as long as I feel a connection to said person. For example, I like a girl who has bleach blonde hair, has a fair amount of make up on and occasional fashion item which I question, but nevertheless I've got on with her incredibly well and feel said connection to her. So things are not set in stone to say the least.

And I've only stated attractiveness to women. Now I mean I barely feel attracted to men because of a laddish and boy culture I've grown up in that 99% of the time views them as friends only instinctevly, but I will say that I can find some men attractive.

 

Attractive:
- charming/suave/flirty
- shares passion for the vidya and movies
- willing to try new things
- easy-going/sociable/assertive
- confidence
- doesn't need to be with me all the time and can appreciate that sometimes I like silence
- puts up with me ;___;
- taller than me
- glasses
- nice arms/hands
- slim
- fat wallet

Unattractive:
- V-neck shirts
- lack of fashion sense in general
- alcoholics/heavy substance abusers
- no sense of humour
- unable to think for themself

Attractive for me
-Taller then me <---So far... no luck
-Older then me by at least by a year <--- I sometimes make exceptions :)
-A nice smile or laugh (or both!)
-Someone who can make me laugh when Im down
-Doesn't have to be with me all the time and treasures the time we have together
-At least 1 thing in common (or none at all sense opposites attract sometimes)
-Doesn't laugh at my beliefs or interest like religion, music, or anime
-Isn't aggressive unless we're in @$%&$#& <--- censored
-Easy going, social, outgoing, playful, etc
-Muscular or somewhere in between muscular and slim

-Someone to can hold me when I need him

-White skin. Whiter the better. Deathly pale = hot
-Eyes...I can't really put a word on it but there are just some types of eyes that I can stare at for days, I love it
-Long hair, though short hair done right can be cool
-An athletic/lean figure.
Non-physical
-Being intelligent, not trying to hide that you're intelligent
-Having similar interests or at least tolerating my interests
-Hating the same things I do
-Being a generally friendly person
-Being outgoing and not being afraid to be who you are
-Having a sense of humor
-Willing to do stuff but content to just sit around and be in each other's company/just cuddle up and watch a movie or something
-Having a personality compatible enough to be able to hang out with my friends

Oddly enough, for guys, it's pretty much the opposite of girls. I find them more attractive as my same height, don't like glasses, I honestly think striped shirts look weird on guys, I don't really like freckles, don't like the skin too white, and shorter hair is better. But the eye thing and the figure, that stays the same.

 

Oh and to answer what I would've been attracted to in the past, I would probably have said:
Blue eyed, blonde haired, white woman. You know, the typical angelic woman white families seem to suggest is the best candidate, which is a little Nazist now that I think of it...

Well, I can't exactly tell, but from the people I did come to like...

Attractive:
-Eyes that are not dark brown or close to black.
-Light yellow hair (I'd like this best with blue eyes).
-Light brown hair.
-Obviously, a good personality.
-The type who's always smiling.

-Outgoing.
-Can keep a conversation going, despite me not being able to do the same. ;;;

-Taller than me, but not too tall like 6" (that makes everything a little harder)...

As for my ideal as a child... Bahaha, I can't remember. I think... Brown/black hair with dark blue eyes, wore body-hugging t-shirts and jackets with dark jeans. Personality wise, the same, only he'd also be at the very least fine with shopping all day. Yeah, I liked shopping as a kid (SHAME).

Appearance
I don’t really care that much. Of course, it helps if they’re attractive and well groomed but I tend to like their personality more than anything. I tend to find my crushes, if you can even call them, that to be adorable, anyway. Their little quirks and aah. I guess you could say I don’t pay much attention to it. I do like it when guys are taller than me, however. Which isn’t hard. :c

Personality

Gentleness. Those who aren’t afraid to play with their kids in the park, kind and tender, etc. etc. I don’t know why but I find it to be really cute and it just makes me smile whenever I see such a thing.

Funny. I like to laugh but I hardly do really laugh. I instantly like men who are able to make me laugh. I also like it when they can laugh at themselves and at my dorky jokes. I want somebody that is able to make me laugh till I cry.

Sweet. Okay, if though I deny it I’m such a sucker for compliments and all those cute fuzzy moments couples tend to have. I like to see guys who aren’t afraid or ashamed to show that they love me/ Kelly what are you talking about, nobody loves you or ever will. I like seeing a soft side and I don’t need stupidly expensive things. Breakfast in bed, for example would make me smile like an idiot or a simple “Good Morning” text or note with mushy stuff written on will be make me happy.

Understanding.This is pretty explainable. I like it when somebody takes time and effort to understand what gets me down, all the god damn time. Sure, they might not completely understand but at least they tried. I like it when someone is able to just sit, listen and not judge.

Trustworthy. Pretty explainable, again. I’m paranoid enough as it is; I don’t want to be wondering what someone’s doing every second of the day. Are they cheating? What if they’re meeting somebody else? Etc. I don’t want a relationship to be “Let’s date and I’ll see if I can trust you as time goes on.” I want to trust somebody with my life.

Patient. Someone who would have the patience to play cat and mouse with me. Someone who doesn’t get angry when I change my mind on what to wear 1000 times, etc.


Smart. Someone’s whose smart and takes education seriously. I hate, hate, hate when a reasonably smart guy who’s able to get good grades thinks School sucks and does badly simply because he’s lazy.

Loyalty. Someone who will stand by me, thick and thin. Someone I can go to for advice. Someone who won’t ditch me because of silly falls out and arguments. Someone I can always go too.

That’s pretty much it, I think. I’ll probably think of more and edit it later. To be honest, I'm waiting for somebody to come on and publicly laugh at me. Oh well. /paranoia.

 

Oh gosh, there's so many things I find attractive for so many different reasons. I couldn't possibly name them all, they're all over the place. I mean, I like guys ranging from the likes of Rugby players to the nerdiest of nerds. xD There isn't really anything that I like in a guy. I either like the way they look or I don't. If anything, I like guys that are taller than me and are good for a cuddle. So a wee bit of meat is awright. As long as they're warm and healthy I'm content.

Personality is even worst. I like traits such as affectionate and gentle, but at the same time I like wild and excitement. There's no way I could name them all, so here's a few;

1. Intelligence. Like super sciency intelligence. Totally the most important to me. <3 If a guy can talk science to me (even though I will never understand a word that is said of it probably), I'm pretty much wrapped around his finger. Everything else is pretty much thrown out the window because the attraction to that is so strong.
2. I tend to like guys that most everyone hates. Uh, I don't know why that is. I think because I generally like geeky, nerdy, insane guys and those seem to be not very popular with most. But i also like social rejects, because that's my opposite. I was very popular/surrounded by friends, and I tend to want to be stuck with people who maybe don't attract much attention because I like to be the one that gives them the attention! It makes me feel special~~~~ and I like making them feel worth something.
3. They don't have to be nice to anyone else. Most of my loves weren't. As long as they love me they can have a very strange, offish, even murderous attitude towards others. I really can't name one guy I've been with who was very loving/gentle to everyone. ^^;;; Most hated people, and the world in general , except for me.
4. Children~ They should want children. Because I want to be a mother. ^__^
5. Interested in what I'm interested in at least a little. I like talking and I don't want to bore them. XDDD
6. I mostly like passive guys and introverts, but it's not important, because I like someone who will challenge me too. I am a dominatrixy type though so. Yeah.
7. I'm sick a lot so maybe someone who can help me without making me feel totally useless. I'm pretty independent, but having someone who is nice to me and willing to help me is a plus.
8. They should at least be okay with how I look. I don't want my big breasts to be made fun of (cause guys have before). If they're not comfortable with being with a short, curvy girl, they can hit the road. I don't tolerate being made fun of because of my genetics. ^^;;;;;

I don't really care about physical appearances that much but I have preferences although that helps I'd still be with someone who isn't in the categories of it. Because really, as long as the guy loves me, then yeah. But here's some appearance things I like or don't like as much.

1. Brown eyes or black eyes. They are a weakness. I can't say no to them >_>................Specially brown eyes. I don't care much for blue eyes.

2. I like very fat guys. ^^;;; I also like very thin guys. I tend to not like overly muscular looks on guys.

3. GLASSES. C'mon They are sexy. >//<

4. Dark hair. Specially black hair. I also like silky, longish hair. I mostly like every colour of hair except blonde is my least fav.

5. Other than NERDY looks, gothic guys are always prioritized with looks if nerdy/geeky isn't available. I'm gothic, and I like gothic. Not as much as nerdy, but it'd be cool to match someone in looks.

6. I like people with very striking features. Not the typical average look. Like very accentuated cheekbones XD I love those.
