    well it makes you fat
It's not necessarily unhealthy, but there are much healthier stuff out there haha.

I've been cutting down on how much money I spend per week on food. You can still eat cheaply and be healthy, as long as you're not too picky about your food. Basically what Misty said though. You can always find good healthy combinations without having to spend a lot of money. I'd take a look at frozen stuff.
Also yeah, eating out is frikin' expensive compared to home cooked food.

Talking about eating out. You can usually, if you shop around, find a small nice restaurant that does nice food at ok prices. Sometimes if you just want to go out once a week or something then you can factor that in to a budget. Think of it as a treat meal, where after a long day or week, instead of cooking for yourself, you treat yourself to a nice meal.

Most towns and cities usually have one place like this from what i've found. Though they're not always healthy. I found a pub that did a cheeseburger with chips and a side salad (good sized portions and fresh veg) all for £4.50. Wouldn't eat breakfast (that's just me generally) and I'd have that at lunch on a Sunday and would snack later that day. Really cheap day but you feel full.

If you have flour, milk, cheese, and an egg, you can make dinner pancakes.

You can use this site http://myfridgefood.com/ to enter anything that you have in your fridge and it'll bring up a bunch of recipes. Especially useful if you have extras that are about to go out of date and you're not sure what to do with them.

Just don't eat. Nothing has ever proven that eating is good for you.

Oh sure, except for starvation, which will kill you if it goes long enough. So I'd say eating is good for you

Have you ever really seen someone dying from starvation though? If not, you have no case here.

Seen, no. But there's plenty of books in history and remains recovered over the years that prove it otherwise, so yeah, I'm pretty sure i have a case here, as well as the rest of the world and even a majority of scientists

It's not necessarily bad for you. There's just no nutrition in it. Seriously, eating cardboard is probably better. At least it has fiber. My suggestion is to put veggies in it. Bok choy, frozen peas. Buy a bit of meat, slice it, fry it with salt and pepper and add that too. Crack an egg into the soup while it's boiling. Plain ramen it like plain rice or plain pasta: best when things are added to it, both in flavour and healthiness.

Personally, I like to buy things which can be made quickly and packed for a lunch. A pot of spaghetti sauce lasts 2 or 3 days, a pork chop fries in 2 or 3 minutes. Mostly because if I don't have these foods available, my roommates won't eat it. They get up at the last minute and leave without eating unless it's quick. Buy a whole ham and ask the deli to slice it for you. Cheese, lettuce and bread and you have excellent sandwiches for a week and a half, and that's feeding three people.
