What is it about Org. XIII?

Why do we all love Organization XIII so much? I mean, they're the characters a lot of us talk about (and not just Axel and Roxas...and Xion, I suppose). But, really, what about those XIII/XIV members makes us love them so much? Because at least 85% of this site has obsessed over one, two, or all of the members at some point.

Maybe because they provide different personalities coping with the whole "Light! Darkness!" aspect of Kingdom Hearts?

 

I actually couldn't stand the Org because they always tried to kill me @-@
I honestly never understood the hype over them.​

 

I can't say for sure...All I know is that I love thems all...Maybe it's to the fact they're all just awesome...And Kahlan...They never try to kill Sora...Saix, Luxord and Xemnas are the only ones that try to kill him the others all just try to make him fight more to complete kingdom hearts

 

i like them because thier all argonant and got big egos and that funny to me thier personalities are great

 

Well, why do we like video game characters in general?
It's kinda a stupid question to ask, since people obsess over TV Characters, Video Game Characters, Movie Characters, ect. I don't see the difference.
The Orginization XIII is pretty much a bunch of personalities mixed together, and like a Drama Series, they mesh together, and make us happy. I liked Roxas from the Org., I'm not sure why, but I did.
So, there's not much I can explain to you.

 

I like them, but not all of them.
And i do so because they're cool, funny, powerfull and mysterious.

 

People are obsessed with them because of all the Yaoi/fan pairings they can make with 12 males and 2 of more...ambiguous genders.

 

They're quite enigmatic, firstly -- though moreso in Chain of Memories than in Kingdom Hearts II. And obviously they have a very large & colorful mixture of personalities, so there's really something for everyone. There's a gambler, a sarcastic pyromaniac, a musician, etc etc. So regardless of what tickles your fancy, you can find it in the Organization.

 

Well i mainly like Org XIII cause of their different elements as in all the characters in the org have different elements to accompnay them like for axel its fire,marluxia rose,vexen Ice and etc. and also because all of them were human at some time and were turned into nobodies when they turned into a heartless,Tbh i really want to know how axel and saix turned into nobodies since

at Radiant Garden, I think it's safe to assume that they lost their hearts when the world was overrun by the darkness.

 

hmm maybe there are possibilities that they turned into heartless then but idk i would have to play the game itself to find out XD

 

Well they're much younger than their Nobody counterparts, I would guess that they became Nobodies a few years after RG was overun, especially since Lea seems to be able to fight for himself and Isa seems to be able to keep his cool as well and Saix even with a heart. that probably contributed very well to their survival.

Anyway, I think Org. XIII is so popular because they have so many members without a proper backstory, leaving a lot of room for fanfiction.

 

My personal take on this, is that it is fun to pair them up, in ways that people think that they would interact, I know of not one instance in the entire kingdom hearts saga where Larxene actualy shows hatred for Deymx, but how many fan-fics or RP's have you seen about them where they actualy got along? It is fun to show that you can understand things by playing around with these characters, because so many gaps were left open in their story.

 

Actually, in Days Demyx implies that Larxene bullies him quite a bit when he mentions that he's glad she was sent to Castle Oblivion (don't remember the exact quote.)

 

It's because they were the main villans of the saga so far and square made most of them mysterious it got us to love these guys. But now every one forgot about them and we all love vanitas now

 

And a third if you count the time where Naminé was the captive of the orginization.
Also yes, that Yaoi is one of my top reasons for loving the orginization, but there is somthing else too. I feel sorry for them. I feel sorry that they have no hearts. Sora's memorys made Roxas&Xion have part of a heart, a very tiny fraction, that made them able to posses a keyblade. When Axel was around Sora (including his nobodies), Axel became more sentimental than the other nobodies of the Orginization; however Axel always had to follow the orginization in order to keep himself from being destroyed.

I am not sure how they planned on redoing Kingdom of Hearts without a Keyblade. Unless they killed Sora with his own keyblade there is no way they would be able to finish it. Right?

 

I never really liked him as intensely as other people, But it was interesting to see a character who did not necessarily want to go down a 'evil' road. Not to mention it was kind of interesting again to see an antagonist with more emotion than " KILL ALL DESTROY ALL" They were just complex characters, some a little more than other members. But still they were complex.

 

Because fans can see their sadness, even though they do not have emotions. They can see Sora laughing with his friends, saving the world, but fans want the Org. Members to be more dynamic. The Organisation's substance is an empty nutshell. Everytime people see Axel, who is cheerful and funny, they feel better themselves... like they identify themselves with him and the rest of the Org.

 

I never ever got Org. XIII at all. Why did they even start attacking Sora? I mean if he'd just been oblivious to the fact that killing heartless brought those hearts to Kingdom Hearts then they would eventually succseed. It's like they wanted him to destroy them.

 

Did they really attack Sora? If I recall, Sora attacked them first.

Anyway, they are a bad guy organization, and everyone loves bad guy organizations. Just look at Akatsuki in Naruto or the Espada in Bleach. They're also a refreshing change from everyone and their mom who wield Keyblades.
