What is "Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt"?

Is it a Japanese Anime that satirize Americans or something?

 

It is an anime by GAINAX.
Very raunchy; potty humor, innuendos, sex, violence, the works.
Low brow stuff but if you got a soft spot for that than it's all good. Also good animation at times.

It doesn't strictly parody one thing, it parodies anime, cartoons, movies, etc. And it is in no way satire.

 

I only watched a few episodes some time ago when it started to air, it has really great animation. Give it a try if youre ok with the stuff said in the other post.

 

It needs a second season super bad.

 

Watch it. It's really (stupid) fun.

It is a cartoon by GAINAX. We really need to get away from the notion that where a work was made determines its genre. It's a little originist if you ask me. Other than that, this^.

It's also really awesome to fall asleep to. It gives you super trippy dreams.
