At the end of the game, Sora, Donald and Goofy encounter Pluto carrying a letter from Mickey. I don't think it was ever revealed what the letter was about. What do you think it WAS about?

I'm pretty sure there's been something like this before, but whatever.

Um, I think I think I'll elaborate on the idea you proposed on a different thread...maybe Mickey sent the letter to Sora to explain past events that may effect his near future.

It's probably the letter from the Kingdom Hearts 2 Ending, probably about the past or he made a startling discovery or he invited them to a Party for saving the worlds.

The letter was probaly telling them that Mickey had returned safely or something. Or yet, telling them they did not competely do the job..hence, a new game.

Presumably, it was for Minnie. That's why Pluto ran from Sora, Donald, and Goofy when they tried to take it: it just wasn't for them.

I want to go to that party.
Well, that could be true, but you have to remember that Pluto ran from Sora on several other occasions...he's just a dog, and he's a playful one at that. The look on their faces in the clip also seemed a little too interested in what they were reading...and I don't think it would be so if the letter was written to Minnie.

Not that I can recall. He has a habit of wandering around, but that's the only time I can remember him ever actually running from someone.

Not really. He's been portrayed as at least semi-sentient in most --if not all-- of his appearances, and that trend has continued into the KH series. As is the case in more Disney cartoons than I'd care to count, I wouldn't be surprised if he knew what he was doing the entire time.

You're mixing two different events. The letter at the end of KHII, the one they actually read, was fairly obviously for them. The one from the end of KH1 is a different story.

I'm pretty sure that the letter is the text that is shown as they are chasing Pluto.

Or a new theory is that the letter could have been the words in Another Side, Another Story or Deep Dive, just that it would make sense, it was probably about Organization XIII but since Sora didn't have a chance to read it, he never knew about them until Kingdom Hearts 2.

    the letter?

I don't particularly think that the letter was really supposed to be anything important--I just think that Pluto is meant to be Mickey's 'letter carrier' and delivers things to Minnie for one, but also maybe other people. (letters are a fairly common way to communicate in kh, apparently) So I think several of the others are right in saying that it wasnt FOR them to read. (the one at the end of kh anyway)
It really wasn't supposed to be a big deal, i don't think, anyway. I think the only reason they put the letter in there is to allude to another game and that the story isnt over. I think thats the main reason why they did it in the second game too, just because everything was all hunky dory until OH MY GOD! MYSTERIOUS LETTER!
I really dont think we ever really will, or need to learn what is written on the letters from Mickey.

What I want to know is what the heck is the deal with the letter that Leon got during the credits of Kh2. What' s with the butterfly? Anyone have any idea what the heck that is about?

It's probably from that girl from Final Fantasy VIII, you know, Rinoa.

If it was the same then I don't think they would of been as interested.

I think it said something like a thank you or telling him where to go now. I'm not sure, it's something along those lines I think.

In FFVIII, that butterfly-ish thing was the symbol of Squall's girlfriend, Rinoa. It's just a little easter egg for the more attentive fans, as well as possible foreshadowing for her appearance in a future KH game.

I doubt it. If Mickey had something that important to tell Sora, I don't see why he couldn't just tell him in person. They did meet several times throughout KHII, after all. It wouldn't make sense to send a letter with the same exact message in it again after they had plenty of time to talk face-to-face.

That could really make sense. Since he lost his memories in RE: COM, he could've forgotten about the letter too so King Mickey has send him another. Even thought he got his old memories back, so I'm not sure...
