You know... it is scientifically proven that if a human mind is reading a sentence, they only look at the first and last letter... I kinda thought you said someone 3x.

He did say someone three times. I had to double check to see what you meant.

Completely disagree. If the version that ICSP used after trying to revive it was the original, as I think he said, then that game was horrible and not challenging at all, it was just complete guess work. "HEY! THIS GUY MADE A POST TODAY, HE MUST BE THE KIRA!" that was essentially what it felt like to me, P's version was pretty great, the clues and hints made it feel as if you were actually part of a whodunnit. As for the RP idea, I would be up to it, if not for the fact that I have no time lately.

The oldies in this have a terrible attitude in general. You are not supperior.

New game: There are two rocks rocking in the wind you throw a rock at the rocks and rock a rock harder to that it'll rock over the edge of the rock it's rocking on in the first place. If the other rock rocks of the rock too you get bonus points.

if the original was so much more guesswork, how come Repliku, Shades, P and Pyro had such a high success rate? Id be willing to say that the above players were twice as consistant as everone else. You do realize there ARE behavioral changes when someone is kira? That WAS the point of the game. To get to know everyone better. There were good detectives that knew how to investigate without hints, and those who were basically fodder, who got lucky once in a while. My personal favorite, "Omg! ____ must be Kira! He's talking to me about the DN game!"

Basically, it started dying, went through a lot of changes (maybe too many) everyone got bored and left. The end.

Everyone other than the ones you mentioned were probably terrible players then. And I do know that people tend to have tells, but that's usually the people are bad at the game in general. Most people don't have those tells, when you consider how you're online and can think out your actions. You either have people who are terrible in general, or guess work.

I caught quite a few people during the later parts of the game due to their behaviour, that doesn't mean it was SUUUUUUUUUUPER exciting.

I said no such thing as evryone else being horrible. There was a huge moderate section in the middle. I was mearly pointing out the exceptionally good players. I did mention that there were some bad players, who would make me facepalm. Ie: I remember one round, where kira successfully killed off the better detectives quickly, and stayed under the radar. I was accused multiple times... I was the shinigami... and it was in the rules that Kira and the Shinigami were seperate entities. Basically, Kira played skillfully and tactically. The detectives started off good, but once their "L" (L was not an official rule at the time, other players just depended on repliku too much) was kiled. They literaly started to panic. And the slaugter began.

It's just Pyro stating her opinion? And it's not intrusive or anything. I've seen oldies who really think they're superior and try to shove it down your throat. I don't think Pyro is one of them.

Besides, we're all guilty of nostalgia tripping now and again. Or priding ourselves by saying "hurrhurr i was hear before u n00b" so what exactly are we talking about?

anyway, i love how stating that one question has started a big discussion.

we are now meeting one of the intentions of the game, get to know each other better :P

    Never said I was.

The earlier version definitely had more umph to it. The game was meant to be played by studying behavioral changes, and there were many ways to detect the changes that clearly pointed to who Kira was. The players collaborated within the game thread itself and were meant to make accusations based on their speculation. Those who played out of complete guesswork were the first to die always. Constant death has the probability of seeing those said players leave the game because it was "omg boring!!" Players often failed to collaborate with each other. The entire purpose of the "detective" was not followed through. Throwing out clues every so often doesn't make the game necessarily all that fun either. It lacks challenge.

What part of figuring out a challenging game makes me superior?

    Yup.

I'd like you to go look at the rules of the Spam Zone, if you're going to take everything so seriously then you shouldn't be here :c

Missing the point. The whole "You cannot change the game in any way or revive it." was what I was referring to.

Haha, it was pretty fun. I think part of why the first one may have had a bit more success could be because of the novelty of it all. I think the same applies to when it began again at the hands of P. It was new to most, or they just wanted to relive how fun it was.

Both versions were pretty fun. But it can be subjective, since certain people would enjoy it better with certain other people better and what not.

Pyro isn't supperior. But she is supper.
Who wants to eat Pyro tonight?

Anyway, I didn't play during Repliku's era, though I was aware of the game. I played first when CtR was still active but not staff (My first perfect round, I was her Mikami<3), and it definitely had umph and was intellectually challenging, though I can't compare it to before that since I didn't play it. The more recent iteration of the game (but before several of the changes since I was inactive for a bit during that) was still fun, in my opinion. We had several great rounds and even attracted new players BUT that's the problem, in my opinion.
The game is catered to those who have been here longer because they already know names (especially if they've played), though there has been some exceptional rounds where the newest member would win. Over time, the new members decrease and it's the same pool of people each time; it becomes boring.

I disagree about the whole "getting to know players better" purpose of the game, but eh, that's just me.

There's not a single ounce of enforcement for "You cannot change the game in any way or revive it." in any of my posts. It's my SUGGESTION. I never said "omfg you gaiz better not change it or you gaiz will killz it hurr hurr."

I'm happy with the lets do a round every couple of months if we could get the interest, i enjoyed the game the most when i was shinigami, making the deaths and the clues was slightly stressful to me but it made my life more fun :)

and i made many a new friend because of this game

And to everyone else lets drop all the hostilities and have fun and remember the fun we had in days gone by :)
