What's a good anime to watch?

I'm bored and could use something to watch.

I'm particularly fond of magical girl anime although I have tired myself out with those and would love something different.

 

well, there's My-HiME, Sailor Moon(a classic), Mew Mew Power, One Piece, Bleach, Black Cat, Yuyu Hakusho, Trigun, Trinity Blood, and a lot others

 

K-On, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Code Geass, Love Hina, Death Note, Kampfer, and The World God Only Knows are all excellent in my opinion. Also the Persona 4 anime.

 

Kaiji or Nichijou

 

Kampfer's good, but it's way too short. Not too mention, you can't even really finish the story since the final episode was made into a movie, and only shown in japan in theaters

 

Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha. If you like Magical Girl animes but want something different, it's perfect, since it takes all of 4 episodes to become a bona fide Magical Warrior anime, with some amazing scenes. It has three seasons too, so if you like it there's plenty more to keep coming back to.
I've heard that Madoka Magica is very good too, and is very much the Evangelion of Magical Girl series.

 

There's a story? I thought only the light novels had a proper story. The anime is just a little too...umm...I dunno.

 

Yu-Yu Hakusho, Ao No Exorcist, Fullmetal Alchemist, Death Note and Bleach.

I can't think of anything else.

 

Madoka. Really. Watch it.

 

Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Steins;Gate and Mirai Nikki all come to mind.

Also Persona 4: the Animation.

 

Pokemon, Shakugan no Shana, Yu-Gi-Oh, bakugan, uhhh....um....Oh! Ben 10 Ultimate Alien, Naruto, err...Yep.

Nah man those big anime eyes they have are definitely japanese anime.

Trust me I am an expert on the animes.

 

yeah, the light novel is just way behind. I mean, they finished up the anime way before the light novel, and the light novel is following the anime. Just with a few slight changes.
I like the whole Kampfer thing though. I think it's pretty cool
