For myself, I don't have a specific favorite. If there's something pleasant to my ears on the radio, I like it.

But when I'm choosing which songs to listen to, I tend to pick pop songs.

    What about you? c:

Since pop-punk and indie are considered branches, I guess I'll say Alt Rock.

    Aaah I don't know.
Alt-pop I guess but soft rock is a nice genre. And good electronica.

I really like Hardcore. Specifically Happy Hardcore, UK Hardcore, and Freeform, but I can appreciate some harder (Gabber) or softer (Hard Trance) sounds depending on my mood.

(I'm talking Hardcore Techno, not Hardcore Rock, in case anyone was confused.)

Folk is the king of all music.

I don't care what anyone says, folk wins.

    Alternative.

AKA one of the biggest branches of music I've seen.

    Usually the more rock-ish stuff.

Pseudo-branch that does not exist. It has become mainstream enough that it is no longer an alternative to the mainstream.

People forget that it was not made as a genre, but as a classification relative to mainstream radio.

Anything from Thrash Metal to Metalcore. Much different than most here on KHV, apparently.

I listen to a huge amount of music and love a huge amount of genres, but Romantic-era Classical, Tango, and Jazz are closest to my heart, especially Jazz. Third place would probably be an electroswing transition and then various shades of electronica or what Makaze said.

I generally dislike rap music, but Odd Future is amazing. Some of their lyrics just crack me up!

Victim, victim, honey you're my fifth one, honey on that topping when I stuff you in my system, rape a pregnant ***** and tell my friends I had a threesone, you got a ****ing death wish I'm a genie it'll get done.

Overall though I really love drum and bass.

Dr. Francis J. Braceland of the Institute of Living in Hartford calls rock and roll a "communicable disease with music appealing to adolescent insecurity and driving teenagers to do outlandish things... It's cannibalistic and tribalistic." Dr. Braceland's remarks prompt a published defense of rock and roll from Freed and three well known bandleaders of another generation, Sammy Kaye, Benny Goodman and Paul Whiteman.

I listen to almost everything, but among my favourites are punk (all subgenres and punk rock), goa trance, happycore, hard rock, ska and alternative rock. But yeah, I listen to everything from jazz to death metal.

Anything I hear on the radio that sounds nice with lyrics that actually mean something those are the types of music I like, unless it's rap never ever make me listen to rap.
