So, I heard that if they do decide to make an American Death Note movie, their first choice for Light is Zac Effron.

 

That's only a rumor, both the movie and zac effron. I hope they don't choose him though, i don't think he could do a dramatic scene to save his life. I think they should choose people who are fans of the manga/novel/anime/movie to act in it.

"Fans" can mean quite a few things, such as people who just like it cause of its popularity.

I prefer people who actually read the novel/manga and/or watched the anime. Don't know a term for them yet.

Also, Zac Effron can stay the hell away from any anime project.

 

No. Fans should never, in any circumstances, act in a movie of what they are fans of. But Zac Effron? He played in ****ing HSM. That's not Light.

That's what i mean. He already ruined his image as a serious actor buy "acting" in those movies. He can't be taken seriously; so when he wants th get those big dramatic roles, they'll most likely say "NO!"

You're right, leave it to hollywood to **** up a good thing. The only reason they will choose him is because he looks like him from the anime. Tatsuya Fujiwara hardly looked like light and he did an amazing job.
