Why do we even bother?

I never said that, you took from my post what you wanted to. Religion tends to breed ignorance. I did not say you needed to be ignorant to believe in religion.

 

1. Different chalk? Size, shape, height dropped, strength of impact, etc. can all impact it. It's not scientific or any means of proof.

2. I call shenanigans on that story. No scientific professor would use that tactic. Also, no scientific professor would curse at a student for being a person of faith. Nor would they storm out of a lecture class.

3. Chance and circumstance is "God's domain". Or rather, it's the only place "proof" of a god can be found, and even then, anyone who examines the situation can come up with half a dozen different reasons for that turn of events other than "Jesus did it."
