And the *oh hi kairi* reaction was logical: after all he knew all the time she was going to be okay, while Riku certainly was not. He feared something could happen to him and was of course relieved when he saw Riku.

I have friends who absolutely hate her. I have to admit the videos and pictures they made about Kairi were pretty funny, but like yourself I don't get the whole I hate Kairi because she's a dumb ***** thing that some fans turn to. So I can relate to what your saying, and couldnt agree more.

I don't see why Kairi is hated... I mean I prefer other characters to her, but she fit the story together, and that is why I like her, she put the game together. She's not too girly, but she's girly compared to me, which is why I prefer other characters, but I don't hate her.

 

I have several reasons why I don't like her err hate her. She is annoying and her outfit is not even innocent looking as she is supposed to be protrayed as innocent. She is constantly in the way of things all the time. Acts like a big baby. I do admit I like her hair style better than in Kh 1.

The manga doesn't help and changes her character into something that she is not. There are several boundaries that share that which makes no sense. It gives me another reason to hate her as she is a childish baby. Damsel in distress characters don't do a thing for me whatsover. If she did fight back I would probably not like her.

My opinion on the matter so don't flame me.

 

I dont no why people dont like her. okay, she can b a damsel in distress quite a lot but shes still an awesome character and is the one who inspired Sora to continue his journey after findin Riku (or Riku finding him). Shes also a red head and most poeple hate red heads cos their so different n i should no cos i am a red head n im proud!

Sora just had to go save her and even if she were okay, he would have to go anyway, saving the world, you know.

Once I saw a poll with most popular hair colour and red was on top, just like blond. And I didn't see even once someone who didn't like red hair.
And may I remind you of Axel, the guy because of whom most of my friends decided to play Kingdom Hearts. He has the reddest hair colour ever and it's a pain finding someone who hates him.
So, first think and then speak. Hair colour isn't even a reason to be annoyed by someone.

 

I really don't see any reason why people should hate Kairi. She's done nothing wrong, leave the poor girl alone! I like her (*points to avatar* obviously...), I really don't see any part of the games where she's particularly annoying or anything like that.

But then again, yaoi fans always hate the main girl character because she crushes their disturbing dreams...

Kairi's a great character, she deserves love like this, plus, without her Sora would just be angsty and depressed, she makes him happy lol, i do hope though that we get to play as her in KH3....

 

I never understood why everyone hates her either...and those people who are fans of the SoraxRiku pairing seriously need to get a life...

I think a lot of people hate her because they think she is useless and portrays the typical "damsel in distress" kinda thing.
In fact, I don't get why people hate her either, it's directed at kids, I mean seriously, it's a rated E game.
She is important to the story line and regardless of what people say, she has a role just as everyone else does in the game. I mean, without her, the whole "Princess of Heart" idea wouldn't become as personal to Sora if Kairi was involved and etc.
