Will of Fire

Dai rubbed her arms from the cold, she could see her breath. She went back to the park. Not here. Where'd you go, Becky-chan?

 

Becky got up off of the bed. I should probably go to my dorm... she thought and walked out the front door and headed towards her dorm. She stopped walking for a moment when she sneezed. I'm probably getting a slight cold from being outside so much in the winter... she thought and kept walking.

 

Dai lit her hand slightly. I don't want to get caught, but I do want to be able to see. She ignored the cold and looked for footprints.

 

Becky kept walking but she saw a dim light. I wonder who that is out so late at night... she thought and walked towards the light, but she saw that it was Dai and stopped walking before she saw her. Dai?! What's she still doing out here? She looks like she's looking for someone...

 

Dai doused her light.

"You sure you don't want to look more?" Megumi prodded.

"You lied. We're-- I'm going home." Dai buried her hands in her pockets and trudged back to her house.

 

Becky watched Dai start to walk off and was about to go back to her dorm. She made a small noise as her headache got a bit worse, but then covered her mouth, hoping that Dai hadn't heard her. I should probably go back to my dorm now... she thought and tried to sneak back with Dai seeing her. Please don't catch me... she pleaded in her head. I really don't want a reason to fight you... and I'm not in the best condition...

 

Dai heard Becky but kept walking. She's able to move and that's good enough for me. Plus, I can't risk Megumi getting out.

 

Becky got to her dorm and went inside. She sighed in relief. Thank goodness... she thought and sneezed again. I think it's time for me to go to bed... she thought. Becky yawned before teking a shower, getting dressed, taking medicine, and then crawling into her bed. She closed her eyes and fell asleep.

Becky woke up in her dorm the next morning. Her whole body ached. I really need to practice using that much energy... my body can't withstand it just yet... she thought.

 

Dai woke early. She got ready for school and arrived earlier than usual. Another day of pretending. She sighed and assumed her persona of coolest in class.

 

Panzela woke up on a couch and saw that Becky had left. "Oh, well, that saves me explaining, for now." She got ready and was relieved to get to school on time for once.

 

Dai was running her finger along her desk, thinking of ways to stop Megumi. She noticed what she was doing and pulled out a book from her bag. If Dai didn't want something noticed by others, they didn't notice it. When a boy approached her and asked her if she was busy tonight, Dai held out her hand with her number on it. She heard the boy receiving claps on the back and 'wows'. She rolled her eyes. I never answer my phone, dumbass.

 

Panzela had to stop herself from laughing out loud at the boys. Wow, I hope her father answers the phone rather than no one. At least that would be interesting. she sighed and took out her sketch pad to draw, 'Wonder what I'll be told to do today. He said 'for now'... I know by now that that isn't a good sign for me.
