Will of Fire

"That is of no importance to me." Hiwatari went back to his papers.

"I'm not done yet." Dai said.

"Yes you are." Hiwatari lifted a finger.

Dai was pushed backwards and the door to the study shut behind her. She kicked the door and went to sit on the stairs.

 

Becky went back to her house and ran up to her room. She sighed. Her parents were fighting... AGAIN. It really bugged her when they did that. She brushed her hair enough so that it wasn't in a knot and changed her clothes before walking out of the house again. Her parents hadn't even noticed she was there. The black wings always gets the attention... she muttered. Whatever... It's my job to protect him...

 

Panzela saw Becky walking up the street. "And so it begins." she muttered, not moving.

 

Becky gave out a small sigh as she walked up to the doorway of the Hiwatari household. She had to be cautious and act natural at the same time... and it probably would've been better if she had told her father where she was... not like he actually cared, though. To her, it looked like all he cared about was the Black Wings. Gently, she knocked on the door.

 

Panzela stood up and followed Becky, just to make sure. She didn't bring anyone to help her or be there, why's that?

 

"Right on time." Megumi said.

Dai shut her eyes. "Get it over with." She let Megumi have control.

Megumi stood and stretched her wings. "You're too short." She complained and went to open the door.

 

OOC- good evening ^^

"Hi..." Becky said when Megumi opened the door, not really sure if that was the right thing to say or not. What exactly did she want...? Becky would have looked crazy to go there... but she had a backup plan if anything happened...

 

"You're nervous." Megumi commented. "I told you already that we wouldn't hurt you."

"She can't believe that." Dai said.

"Why not?" Megumi retorted.

"'Cause everyone knows you're an evil b*tch." Dai said snidely.

"Watch it. You don't know what's going to happen later." Megumi said.

 

"I'm not nervous..." Becky said. "Now... what did you want me to come here for...?" she asked, crossing her arms.

 

"A deal." Megumi said simply. She guided Becky inside, ignoring Panzela. One of Megumi's wings moved to hold Becky in what would have been a shoulder hug if it had been with an arm. "Just hear us out. You'll regret it if you don't."

Hiwatari emerged from his study and approached Becky. He looked her over and smirked. "Another weak Ayume."

What's going on? Dai wondered.

"Becky-chan, correct? I understand that you are a friend of my daughter." Hiwatari spoke smoothly. "Perhaps you could to her a favor and tell us who the Black Wings is."

 

Becky's eyes widened when he said that and she pushed Megumi's wing away from her. "Yes... I am Dai's friend... but I can't tell you who the Black Wings is..." she said. "It would be a betrayal of my family..."

 

"We figured you say as much." Hiwatari said. He looked at Megumi. "Go on."

Megumi stepped back from Becky. There was a brief flash of light and when it was gone, Megumi was holding Dai.

Dai blinked her eyes open. Wha-? Her eyes fell on her father. Of course. She tried to pull away from Megumi.

Megumi put a wing to Dai's neck, the edges of her feathers sharp as knives. She held Dai's hands behind her back.

"Becky-chan, I'd like you to choose: your family that doesn't really care about you... or Dai, someone who cares about you even though she shouldn't." Hiwatari smirked.

"Don't listen to him!" Dai begged Becky.

Megumi pressed her wing against Dai's throat, making a slight cut. "No outbursts."

How is she doing this?! Dai shut her mouth. She shook her head slightly, trying to tell Becky not to worry about her.

 

What...? Becky thought and turned around when she felt Megumi step away from her and she shielded her eyes at the light. But her eyes widened at what she saw next... Megumi had Dai and was pressing her sharp feathers up against her neck! Becky could feel herself shaking a little bit as she saw what was going on... they were using Dai to get to her... and it was working... that just struck her straight in the heart... she wanted to fight but knew that if she did then Dai would end up dying... what should she do?!

Becky took a deep breath and clenched er fists, trying to stay calm. "You would really kill your own daughter just to find out who the Black Wings is...? You're sickening..." Becky said, trying not to let her voice sound shaky. He was right though... she felt like her family didn't care at all... like they just wanted to protect the Black Wings and destroy the White Wings... and do nothing else. But that didn't matter... she wouldn't betray them... but she didn't want to betray Dai, either.

 

"Compliments won't do you any good." Hiwatari said. "Make your choice."

Dai felt empty. What's with me? I've got to move!

Megumi twisted Dai's wrists. "You can't leave, Dai-sama. You're needed here."

Dai couldn't stop herself from crying out. This could get difficult. She thought, her eyes watering from the pain.

 

Becky clenched her fists tighter. She felt hot tears start filling her eyes... it hurt her to see her friends get hurt... especially when she could do something to help. "Leave her alone!" Becky shouted and then took a deep breathe, sighing sadly. "Alright... I'll tell you who the Black Wings is..." she said. "Just please don't hurt her anymore..." She looked down at the ground, a little ashamed of herself for giving in so easily.

OOC- Megumi let Becky in the house and Hiwatari asked Becky to tell him who the Black Wings was... she refused and now Megumi has Dai with sharp feathers by her neck and is demanding that Becky tell them or else they'll kill Dai... <_>

BIC: Panzela heard the aurgument from outside and calmly walked in. For such a weathy family, it's amazing how they just leave the door open. She crept up to the corner so they couldn't see her and waited to see what Becky would do and ready to do something if it went down hill.
