Gharanth felt that she had the best date at the ball.

His nervousness apparent for the first time behind his mask of the World's Greatest Criminal Mind, he replies "I'm afraid I'm not sure either, but perhaps, if we go together, side-by-side, we shall find something."

He smiles at her, thinking to himself that she really does look very beautiful, and wonders if tonight is just tonight, or possibly the first of many.

Don't think like that, he tells himself, or with your luck it'll never happen.

Smiling warmly at her, he sets off with her to find the photographer.

 

hahannuh stared at ihatesora and then turned away. "everybody! we're taking pictures in my backyard!" the professional photographer had arrived and was setting up in hahannuh's backyard. she had a great view that overlooked huntington beach. she sat there alone, wondering when nra was going to show up.

 

Gharanth turned to JackS27.

"Shall we go into the backyard?"

She looked at him admiringly. 'He is so charming and handsome. I wonder if he would see me again after tonight?' She blushed at the thought.

 

"Certainly, my dear."

Wishes suddenly that his costume didn't require him to refrain from shaving for a week.

Notices her blushing. "Is everything all right?"

 

"Um, yes. It's turning a bit chilly." (how could I say something so lame!!)

She smiled up at him, (he's so sauve).

'I'm having trouble thinking straight and I have butterflies' Gharanth thought as she looked at JackS27.

In fact, he felt too warm. He was very taken with her and it was affecting him.

What are you doing?! his rational mind screamed at him as he draped his arm across her shoulders and held her close to him.

I don't know he answered himself, as he quickly rubbed her arm on the other side to warm it...

Gharanth cuddled against JackS27 (what am I doing?)

She felt safe and protected.

They were queuing for the photograph.

She could see that the others didn't seem to be getting on as well.

(I'm losing control of my rationality, why?)

 

Jack was reveling at this feeling of closeness that had eluded him for so long. But he was also thinking how Gharanth was probably not thinking the same way. Still...she hadn't protested when he put his arm around her, but...Jack hated the male mind, but at least he knew it. The female mind, to him, was still much of a mystery.

He was so lost in his thoughts that he failed to notice that the line had moved up considerably.

 

"I think the line's moving."

Gharanth cuddled against JackS27 even more and slid her arm round him to hold his tail out of any mud.

I wonder what he's thinking. Probably 'what did I do to get lumbered with this idiot?'

He glances back and sees she's holding the tail of his costume off the ground.

Nice of her he thought warmly, though he was slightly ashamed at the twinge of disappointment he felt that her motives weren't what he had originally thought.
