    Huh?
Considering someone could have two entirely different answers based on if they can build now or if they could build 10 years ago, I don't see how that's splitting hairs.
Hell, some of the replies in this thread have even said "I will be able to in the future".
I don't know what it is you're trying to figure out but you are asking a whole lot of questions that can all have different answers.

I am going to build a dedicated gaming PC as soon as I get my next paycheck. I don't have the money to get every part right away, so I'm going buy one or two parts per paycheck and then assemble it once I have them all.

I can build/rebuild any computer you put in front of me. I know my way around a motherboard. I just don't have the funding. You can bet if I hit the lottery I'd have one of the best desktop available. Of course it'd be custom. I'm still trying to figure out how hard it would be to combine a bunch of cpu's in a watercooled container box that's connected to a usb so you can boost your processing through your usb port. Or maybe a direct connection to the motherboard. It's watercooled so it wouldn't cause heat damage inside the case. Man ... the applications you could run with that thing. If I ever figure it out I'll do the same thing for video card processors. Run on the highest FPS'!!!

Nope. I've not the finances at the moment, the space, the time, nor the knowledge. However, if I did, I don't have the need for one, really.

I've had a burning desire to build my own PC for like half a year now, having spent a lot of time researching parts and preparing a build on PC Part Picker, but the only thing I lack is the money, since I don't work and I'm paying university tuition now. My schedule as it is doesn't really allow me to have a well-paying job without sacrificing ALL SOCIAL CONTACT lol

Maybe I can build one over the summer with a summer job. I'd love that. Having my own PC sounds amazing ._.

I've considered this but I worry that like... midway through buying something new & fancy will come out that isn't compatible with the other parts I bought heh.
Well running it through a USB port wouldn't do anything for you considering USB is pretty limited, speed-wise. Computers can have multiple CPUs, though, but it's rarely seen outside of servers. To be honest it's just not really necessary for home users, especially considering the speeds you can reach with multi-core, overclocked processors these days.

◀◀ ◀◀ I think that if I had any/all of those things, I probably would since I oftentimes feel like I miss out with not being into PC gaming and stuff, but alas. It went really awfully when I tried to salvage my other computer . . .

That's why I'm just going to pick out all of my parts ahead of time and then completely ignore any news about computer parts until I'm done.

I might have the funds right now if I paid every bit i've saved up in my little miscellaneous pile, but that would leave me with a 0, and I like my money. Plus, I'd only build my own PC if I had my own place, I only have room on my desk for my laptop, and there's no good place for a computer and screen.

I would if I had the money and time. Wanting to spend several grand on custom guitars and gear is preventing me from doing so.
