X-men: Hold fast

Wolfe looked at Rogue and smiled. "Hi." she grinned, her amrs spread out, her fingers wiggling as the breeze blew between them.

 

Rogue smiled. "Come on, I'll show you the place."

 

Storm nodded at Logan. "I figure it best to keep her away from the other students for now. I don't know how she's going to react to anything; she's too unpredictable. After what happened on the jet..."

Jasmine stood rigid, unintentionally picking up some of Storm's thoughts. She raised her eyes to look at Storm and then up at Logan. She'd only caught that Storm was thinking of keeping her away from the other students for a while because she thought Jasmine was dangerous. And something about trials. If this 'school' was really just a place to do experiments on her, maybe it was best if Jasmine got out now.

 

Logan looked down at jasmine with another squeeze of her hand. "We're here to help you advance on your abilities. we aren't going to put you anywhere near machines in the mean-time." he laughed a little.

Wolfe nodded. "Okie dokie stripey."

 

Rogue rolled her eyes, then started walking toward the school. "The basket ball court is that way." she pointed. "And the gardens that way."

 

"That's right," Storm confirmed with a smile.

Jasmine's expression turned from frightened to confused. Had she projected her thoughts? It had only happened once before and she didn't think too much of it, but if it had just happened again, perhaps it was something she should pay closer attention to.

"Let's go," Storm said, starting to walk.

 

Logan began to walk, still holding Jasmine's hand loosely. He followed storm, nodding to rogue as he passed, along with the other new students that stood with her.

Wolfe nodded, paying close attention to the gardens rogue had pointed out. she liked wildlife.

 

Rogue smiled at Logan, then turned to the new students. "The school is our home, and has rules. Don't use your powers against each other, and the only time you may use them is when you are in class, or when you are in the training facility." She led them inside.

 

Jasmine wasn't really listening as Storm began to talk about the grounds and its founding. She was just thinking over all that had happened in the last few hours. She realized she was still holding Logan's hand and thought it best to let go, but couldn't bring herself to.

BIC: Rogue led them down the halls. "Guys stay in their rooms and girls stay in theirs. The training simulation room is that way, and down here is the way to the classrooms."

 

Wolfe looked around, the question slipping past her lips. "what powers? I have no powers.."

Logan sighed, rolling his eyes at how storm was dragging the whole 'introduction' thing out longer than she should. He looked at jasmine, seeing her to be distracted, and as bored as he was.

 

A flower stood out to Jasmine as Storm led them through the gardens. She checked to make sure that Storm wasn't looking and then reached out for the flower. Its stem broke nearly half-way down and the flower floated into Jasmine's hand. She smiled, proud of herself for doing something intentionally and not making a mess of it.

 

Logan looked at Jasmine proudly. "Well done..." he muttered, his eyes averting themselves to his surroundings. Storm could really talk when she wanted to. She could also bore people half to death.
I suppose she could class that as an ability... to talk....but so can every chick out there, so I guess that doesn't count... She can bore people. I'll give her that.

 

Storm ushered the two inside, mentally noting the flower in Jasmine's hand. "The architecture of this school dates back-"

Jasmine tuned out Storm's babble. She looked at the flower in her hand. It had been nice to do something right, and get recognition for it, but based on her track record she decided not to try that sort of thing again. Jasmine overheard part of Logan's thoughts, and was about to disagree, but she really couldn't; Storm was starting to bore her.

 

Logan smirked, making a distinct snoring noise when he could get the chance to.
Who cares? I'm pretty damn sure I don't....
He looked at Jasmine, willing her to read his thoughts.
Yawn, kid. Yawn for me. I have a plan to make her shut up.

 

Storm paused in her naration to give Logan a dirty look. She knew he was just trying to be an ass so she let it go and went back to giving the tour.

Jasmine bit her lip in thought. It would be a bit rude to do what Logan was asking, but at the same time, it would be funny. She didn't want to start off on the wrong foot. Logan had Jasmine's trust though. She let out a long yawn.

Storm slowed to a stop and turned around to face Jasmine and Logan. She looked at Logan, thinking that he had been the one who had yawned.

 

"Are you okay?" Logan asked, false concern coating his voice as he looked at Jasmine. He brushed her hair back from her face and looked into her eyes, clicking his tongue whilst doing so. "I....I think she is tired...Jet lag?" he mumbled.
Perfect. keep going.

 

Jasmine nodded and covered her mouth, supressing another fake yawn.

Storm studied the two for a moment. It was understandable that the young girl would be tired after what had happened on the jet. "Alright. Logan," She hesitated, and then decided to just put the situation bluntly. "I think it's best that she stay in Jean's room. It's close to yours, and between the other new students, it's pretty much the only room left."

 

Logan looked up, his eyes suddenly sharp. He had to think for a moment before actually agreeing to what storm was applying without snapping at her.
"...Okay." he sighed, standing straight again. "I-I'll go and take her there." he answered in a toneless, dead voice.

 

Storm felt badly for drudging up the memories, but she knew it affected Logan much more than it did her. She watched breifly as the two walked away and then headed off in her own direction.

Jasmine wondered what had caused Logan's sudden change of mood. Though she was curious, she could see that whatever it was really bothered him, so she stayed out of his thoughts as much as she could.
