Ethical implications and not being able to deal with people well.

Death is not a serious drawback to me because I do not believe I can die.

 

I don't see it anywhere saying I needed to completely kill people to draw energy from them or that I had to draw energy from people at all. I don't plan on using large scale magics so there's no threat of me running into many problems with energy sources. It's more like insurance in case something a normal human can't deal with comes up so I won't need much energy stored and if someone's after my life I'd kill them regardless of whether I had the power or not, I can just make it worth something with this magic. I already dislike dealing with people, things wouldn't change much.

That is just unrealistic.

 

Unambitious. I will take my costs with my rewards. I do not have humble desires for my power.

I am not dead yet, and if I have died before, then here I am, still alive.

 

Ambition isn't a positive or negative trait. It's just a way some people are. I'm not ambitious. I know I'm not disciplined enough to become a chi user, I know I'm not smart enough to become a mental mage, I know I'm not solitary enough to become a hermit and I know I'm not to be trusted with universe warping power. So I do what I can, no more, no less.

One day you'll see.

Though control of time and space is quite nice, the fact that you can't falter in belief would easily kill me.
Besides, all of the stuff that comes with mental is really quite amazing; apart from that, I could always read minds and make sure that the person I'm about to control isn't a mage.

 

It sheds light on your assessment of the others here. Though I agree, half of them probably are not as ambitious as I and just chose what sounded the coolest.

Since your motivation is ambition, why wouldn't you choose chi? Theoretically speaking the peak of power would be chi user. Reaching beyond lightspeed should give you everything that Void can give you and you have the reactions and fighting capacity to be invincible as well. So even if you cannot guarantee your own safety by breaking light speed, you don't fear death so it comes with no downsides. So why pick void over chi?

Because I dislike taking an inefficient path to my ends, and I could not take people with me despite my speed. They would not be able to withstand the speed like I could. Nor would such power allow me to toy with time.

My ambition is to be able to complete specific goals with ease, not necessarily to be strong or powerful. Teleportation is more useful and requires less effort than ridiculous speed.

 

You'd have time travel, not full on manipulation, but you'd be able to see the world as if it was slowed down and you'd be able to access any point in the timeline. Since the rules aren't even totally defined, there's nothing saying that you couldn't move people throughout time and space as well. There's much more to the world than any of us know and this power gives not only a chance to understand the universe but more utility than all the other powers combined since there is literally no limit. You'd even have theoretically infinite time to think over your decisions and examine the world.

 

Indeed; but at the moment, the power I want most is teleportation.

I chose chi on training
i have bad focus ect, but this would be helpful in a respect as to make me be better at focus.
Plus, i like shiny things, just nothing too flashy. Chi was perfect for me because the skill set wasn't too much or to little
